It's a fun and relaxing little clicker-game.
It's a great game. It's better than real plants. You can do things!

Cool and neat educational game
For $5, you can experience rasterized graphics that only a Flash website could love and compete against garden pests and an eventual winter. In all seriousness, there is little to no reason to call this video game but rather an interactive biology teaching resource as a result of its non-gameplay and bare minimum attempt at demonstrating botany and gardening through edu-entertainment.
Summary
A short challenging but simple educational simulation game on the life cycle of a number of plants. Pros + Challenging + Fun enough experience Cons - Shallow educational aspect - Repetitive
Overview
Reach for the Sun is a pretty challenging but rather simple simulation strategy game with a small educational aspect that simplifies the life cycle and growth of a number of plants. The goal of the game is to grow a number of plants from seeds by strategically choosing parts to grow in order to develop flowers and fruits completing its life cycle. The game does get rather repetitive as all plants have pretty much the same mechanic and won't be too difficult to understand and play through. Gameplay The game is basically about growing a plant from seed to a full grown flowering or fruiting plant, you do this by picking different parts to grow in order to obtain the required resources needed to continue growing. There are 3 materials you need to successfully grow your plant, produced or collected by different parts of the plant requiring you to think what to grow next to ensure you have enough resources to keep growing. Playing through the game you also receive seeds that are used to purchase the next plant and also to purchase upgrades that can make each level slightly easier. You are presented with 2 modes of play, classic and strategy where both plays considerably different to one another:

Classic mode is based on time and will be a little more hectic as you need to click on parts to collect resources when a part is ready for harvest, keep track of pests that can eat parts of the plant, as well as figuring out the next part to grow.
Strategy is turn based and you will need to think on the choices you will take in order to get all the possible flowers or fruits before running out of turns.
Achievements aren't the easiest to complete but are doable and not overly frustrating to get them all.
