About
Taking place in a tank suspended upon a cosmic wonderland, five axolotls appear one day from a mysterious, thundering void. They quickly learn they are able to speak with one another, and relationships are formed. However, something is off. Each axolotl seems to possess knowledge they should not know. Foods, and people, and places and concepts...
And obsessions.
Amid conspiracies, illnesses, fights to the death, VR headsets, and bizarre reality switching, a figure named [RB] seems to be pulling the strings behind it all.
•Variety is the spice of life, and with RB: Axolotl you never know what to expect! There are more realities out there than just the tank...
•Press ‘S’ at various points in the story to perform the world's greatest somersault!
•A meticulously crafted universe full of lore, rewarding detail-oriented players.
•Dynamic movements bursting with personality! Each animation is handcrafted with care and love, and no scene looks the same.
•Plot twists, revelations, and hefty battle scenes are in store for those who take their first steps into the tank.
•A catchy OST by a variety of artists.
•Written and programmed by one individual. A true passion project.
This is an emotional tale that I built with all the passion and love in my heart.
Despite its cute art style, the visual novel RB: Axolotl is intended for mature audiences only.

Грас сподобалась. Завдяки формату візуальної новели можно проходити у зручному для когожного темпі. Сюжет доволі цікавий. Не жалкую витраченого часу :)
Intermissions, stalling. 2/10 Skipped to the end right after game makes you watch an half/hour-long session of main characters playing a lame "vr" game. As if its calendar writing wasn't already annoying
Sad :(
a very enjoyable story with a cast of interesting and colourful characters. if you have read and understood the warnings listed and enjoy stories with dark topics, i definitely recommend this one. the plot gets deep and really meta with adorable axolotls accompanying you on the journey
This game is a real masterpiece of literature, slow paced with a very deep and interesting story about pain and mental health issues. The graphics are cute and colorful. If you are struggeling with life the axolotls can teach you how much hobbies can improve your quality of life (while at the same time the story migh also be a bit heavy for you if you are struggeling) I had the game running for a whole day to enjoy tiny bits of the story throughout the day, which may not have been the best idea, maybe take it slow, but the story really is worth it. It contains no dirty jokes und would count as family-friendly if it was not for the rather brutal and depressing parts.
Such a wonderful VN! Certainly wasn't expecting it to immediately start taking things seriously! It was such a slap to the face, although I'm sure Enc would've liked that! There were many twists and turns, and the overall story was a pleasant surprise. It certainly got me thinking and made me evaluate my life!
My favorite visual novel frfr, it's truly amazing. I relate hard to Liam and love all the characters a lot. The story is super well done too and insane, in a good way. If you're here in the reviews wondering if you should buy and read this VN, this is your sign.
tells an enjoyable story with great characters
I love these axolotls!
RB: Axolotl is a fascinating game. Throughout nearly all of the story, I had no idea where it was going to go next, but it always built on what it had been establishing and hinting at. The characters were fascinating, with struggles that were interesting, and that built into a wider narrative, and the wider narrative was also very strong. The story also feels very heartfelt, in a way I always love to see in games. I will note, the game really isn't kidding when it says that it's intended for mature audiences, as there are both some very horror scenes in the game, and some scenes that have painful (but very well done) depictions of relatively realistic suffering. I do find it a bit funny that people have been giving it the "Choose Your Own Adventure" tag on Steam, seeing as this is largely a kinetic novel (in other words, it is not a game where the player alters the narrative in a meaningful way), but such is life. Lastly, the art and music worked well with the game, helping to give it a strong identity and make the scenes feel stronger. All around an excellent game, and one I can strongly recommend to those looking for a really good kinetic novel. I hope to eventually see a follow-up game for it.
