Rat Racer is a physics-based car simulation where everything is calculated in real time by Nvidia PhysX engine. All tracks are "virtual sandboxes" where you can drive everywhere and do anything what your car physics allows.

A very good top-down racing game. The cars have very nice simcade handling. I hope there will be a more expensive sequel with a fleshed out campaign at some point.
I LOVE THIS GAME PERFECTION BETTER THAN CSGO!!!! ARRAN
this game is special, destined for greatness. at last, super sprint in 3D and with physics. very promising. But the developer needs to fulfil it. Currently I've never been able to play a 2 player local race. Controller issues.
It never gets old when the rat leaves the car because of newtons law. I hope there will come some sick weaponry to take those rat out verticaly. lol For two bucks - You get a 2P techdemo that allready is a lot of fun. No more than two tracks and one car with a rat as pilot... I need more :)
Update- Wow, boy am I dumb! I didn’t even talk about why I liked this so much, so here are a few quick bullet points. -Graphics and animation are really good, I’d say 8/10 -Frame rate and resolution are super crisp and smooth -Controls, probably my favorite part. It’s been a while since I’ve played with an R/C car, but this is exactly what I remember it feeling like. -Difficulty, it’s hard, but in a good way. This isn’t Mario Kart, where you can hold down the gas from start to finish, you have to use strategy when you’re playing, I can’t think of another racing game like this, but I’m a little annoyed that more games don’t do it regularly! -Length, this is the only downside that I can see. From what I can see, there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of options/tracks, but maybe I haven’t unlocked them? Hopefully this game sees a long life, and a campaign, and different modes get added. I never want to stop playing this, so let’s all cross our fingers! I usually try not to leave reviews until I’m pretty sure I’ve seen most of the game, or played a couple of hours. But when I find something that really stands out, and feel like I want to live in the game within the first few moments of playing, then I just have to let people know! *Full disclosure, I was given a free key for this, and that may have influenced my opinion a bit, but I honestly don’t think it does… I mean, “crap is crap”, and I can’t see myself writing a glowing review for something like E.T. on Atari just because I got a free copy! also, I found this game a few years after release, thanks to steam’s wonderfully broken search engine, despite the fact that I am constantly looking for racing games that have the isometric camera view. I mean, seriously, how many different ways can you search for a game with the words “racing”, “car”, and “overhead camera”?! ohh… I see, it’s because I didn’t specifically say I wanted little animals driving the cars? You’ve won this round steam, BUT I’LL BE BACK!!!
Fun little game to goof around with for a couple hours, sad to see that nothing has been updated since the April update of 2024 but it's something fun if you want to try steam remote play against a friend.
Impossible à maitriser, donc très ennuyant...
Abandonware Edit: Not abandonware but there are better alternatives (even for $1) i cant say i reccomend this at its current state or even in the near (or not so near) future
