The moment i read the message that says: Install this plugin to be stored onto your computer, i realized this is adobe flash game with Auto play . Stop releasing crap onto steam please, stop it.
Ever feel like playing Ragnarok Online but can't be bothered with actually playing the game? Want your screen filled with tons of text and a constant reminder that you can become a VIP? Then this is the game for you! I clicked about 20 times (other than stat allocation/equiping gear) and became level 35. This game is a total waste of time and the makers of it should be ashamed of themselves.

Character levels 1 - 50 are a breeze, everything plays itself. Within a few hours I was able to reach it. Then the wall came and it was either pay or grind. So I decided to grind. 12 1/2 hours and I received one class level and no regular levels after 50. Get stuff like this off of Steam.
Seeing all these negative reviews written by people who apprently didn't know what they were getting into, here is my attempt at a more objective review. To start off, lets answer the most important question - is Ragnarok Journey for you? 1. Do you enjoy MMORPGs? 2. Do you hate wasting time by grinding mobs 8 hours a day or finishing similar boring quests like "kill 20 rats"? 3. Do you enjoy everything else that MMORPGs usually offer like dungeon raids, skill and stats planing, guild wars etc? If yes, then Ragnarok Journey might be for you. If no, then move on to a different game. The game comes with automation system that lets you focus on other things as you character kills mobs or completes active quests. This means most of your time playing Ragnarok Journey will be spent on planning your character's statistics, skills and equipment. You will have to optimize your available time to maximize possible opportunities. And of course, you will have to party up to challenge powerful World Bosses and dungeons. Just as in original Ragnarok, so does here your character's build matter. Will you send you character to hunt for a rare card? Or will you team up to take down World Bosses? Each choice can yield unique benefits, but you can only do so much in a day - pick one over the other and you might find yourself lacking in certain areas, be that PvE or PvP. This means Ragnarok Journey is closer to strategy games - how well you adapt and what opportunities you seize will determine how well you do in this game. Basically play smart and will you thrive. Where both games differ is the casual aspect of Ragnarok Journey. The game is significantly smaller than RO and everything is streamlined - you can fast travel from anywhere to anywhere, access crafting, dungeons, World Bosses, and global market, etc. with a signal click. Speaking of the market, just as about every other casual game out there, so does Ragnarok Journey comes with premium currency. The good news is however, that is possible to get it without paying real money. The market allows you to sell stuff for gems opening another layer of strategy to the game. To sum up, Ragnarok Journey is the streamlined version of Ragnarok Online. The grind is automated so you can focus on everything else, making the whole game feel more like a strategy than anything else. Recommended to people that can't invest too much time into playing.
It feels pretty disposable. You move from auto-combat to auto-quest; you really hardly need to be at the computer at all to play this. Graphics are nice, but otherwise not much to see.
Ok, a lot of people here have said this game is REALLY P2W but I dont think they really get across the travesty which is this game. First you get access to what are called EXP and JOB Dungeons starting at lv 36 and they are pretty much essential to leveling up but you get a limited amount of entries per day. However it also give you the option to go into more with the addition of being a VIP for 10$ a month, or so I thought. What is actually written in small dark purple text in the bottom of a long text box about the benefits of VIP is that it gives you the OPTION to BUY MORE ENTRIES. Yeah so you dont actually just get more entires as a VIP. VIP gives you the option to spend more money on top of the already spent money on VIP for a few dungeons. Utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
It's a mobile "game" on PC, that automatically plays itself. User interactions involve accepting quests, and buying items with real money. A few of the maps are just litteral screen shots from the original game.
I gave the game a fair chance because of strong nostalgia to ragnarok. Played 7 days, idling almost 24/h, here are my conclusions: 1) Game is badly optimized, its hilarious that even on end-game pc the game with 15 years old graphics lags like hell whenever there are more like 10 people on the screen. Its unplayable on pvp/woe. 2)Devs dont give a damn about this game, no update from the time that it launched on steam, they just want to milk money and let it die, which is sad, because game have potential. 3)P2W is insane, never saw something so bad in any f2p game. First of all, prices are fkd up, you literally have to spend 2000$ to even compete for top. Secondly, paying players can just one-shot you and not just you, one paying player can solo a guild of 50(!!). This game will be dead in month, avoid it, save your time.
I've played this game before, I didn't enjoyed my experience there, so here I'll try to tell my experience on the game. You all know how the original Ragnarok Online is full of bots, right? So, I guess the developers had an idea, "Hey, since people like to leave the pc playing the game for them, let's make a ragnarok game where they bot!", then the others said "Yeh! Yeh! Gud Idea!", then one of the developers stand up and said "No way! There should be some kind of player interaction! Like, completting quests and buying/selling and equipping items! Like this other game. (Shows Monkey King Online gameplay to the others developers)", then the devs answered "Hey! That is actually a good idea, why not hire them to make a spin off of our game?", and the developers again answered "Yeh! Yeh! Gud Idea!". So, this is how this game has risen. On this game, beside have more classes than Ragnarok: Valkyrie Uprising, It have the same flaws as Monkey King Online, until certain level, I guess It was near 50, your character will level up like a rocket just by doing quests, until, suddenly, the game will stop the quests and your character will start grinding, being that, even If you grind your character on level 1, you will take nearly, if not more than a hour to gain a new level, to you see how balanced the exp system in the game is. What to do since the quests dried and grinding is being an A? Easy! Do the stupid dungeons that have "miraculously" been unlocked to level up your char, alongside that, you'll even be able to level up your class level, which the quests were coughing the exp for :). As mentioned by the other players, and also made joke on this review, Is that the combat is automatic, or better, almost everything in this game is automatic, the only interactions you have is for accepting and completting quests, plus buying and selling items, alongside equipping and using them, and there is the best part, at least up to level 50, your character will be stuck with the same weak A equipments that has got through low level quests, which means that you have to rely on the status to make your character tougher. Also, beside this game has more classes than Valkyrie Uprising, the class system is not too much authentic, compared to the original game, at least the merchant has got some skills that are way more useful than on Ragnarok Online, which makes me wonder why It quit trying to do comerce to be a barbarian. And there is the best part, like many of those mobile and browser mmos, this game has the annoying buttons of events and promotions, being most of them trying to extort your hard earned money into some rubbish to make your character powerful or beauty, ok, not beauty, since the graphics in this game are severelly inferior than the original Ragnarok Online, because It's UUUUUUUUUUUUUGLY. Anyway, If you want to try this game, try at your own risk, unless you have some masochistic wish to play this game. If you want to know how It is to bot on Ragnarok Online, then go ahead, this game is for you.
The game plays itself, no customizing your character, generic questing, generic dungeons. Overall I got to level 40+ with out doing any effort... honestly there are better free to play games around.
