Great little puzzle game, many a work lunches were spent trying to get the dern ball to the dern finish.
*Radium*, developed by Lukas Jaeckel and published by Develobster, is a tightly focused physics-based challenge that builds its entire experience around precision and control. It does not rely on narrative, spectacle, or layered systems to hold attention; instead, it leans into a stripped-down design where every moment is about mastering a single, unusual way of moving through space. This minimalist approach gives the game a clear identity, one that feels both refreshing and demanding depending on the player’s expectations. The defining feature is its control system, which replaces direct movement with force-based interaction. Players guide a small sphere using two beams that push and pull it across each level, creating motion indirectly rather than through traditional inputs. This immediately sets the game apart, as movement feels less like steering and more like manipulating momentum. Early on, this can feel awkward or unintuitive, but as players begin to understand how the forces interact, the system reveals a surprising level of depth. Learning to control speed, direction, and positioning becomes the central challenge, and even small improvements in technique can make a noticeable difference. Level design is built around this mechanic, with each stage acting as a focused test of specific skills. Early levels introduce basic concepts in a manageable way, gradually building toward more demanding scenarios that require precise timing and careful planning. Obstacles such as tight corridors, hazards, and shifting environmental rules push players to refine their approach, often requiring multiple attempts to succeed. The inclusion of mechanics like altered gravity or polarity changes adds variety, forcing players to rethink how movement works under different conditions. What makes *Radium* engaging is how it emphasizes mastery over progression. There are no character upgrades or external systems to rely on; improvement comes entirely from the player’s ability to better understand and control the mechanics. This creates a strong sense of accomplishment when difficult levels are completed, as success feels directly tied to skill rather than to accumulated advantages. At the same time, this design can be unforgiving, as there are few safety nets for players who struggle with precision-based gameplay. Visually, the game adopts a clean and minimal style that prioritizes clarity. Levels are composed of simple shapes and contrasting colors, ensuring that players can easily read the environment and focus on movement. This approach supports the gameplay effectively, but it also means that visual variety is limited. Over extended sessions, the environments can begin to feel repetitive, as the aesthetic remains largely consistent throughout the game. The pacing reflects its challenge-oriented design. Levels are short and can be completed quickly, but repeated attempts are often necessary, especially as difficulty increases. This creates a loop of experimentation and refinement that can be highly satisfying for players who enjoy skill-based challenges. However, the repetition inherent in this process may not appeal to everyone, particularly those looking for a more varied or narrative-driven experience. Replayability is centered on improvement and efficiency. Players can revisit levels to refine their performance, achieve better completion times, or simply test their mastery of the mechanics. While the game does not introduce significant new content beyond its initial structure, the challenge of perfecting each level provides ongoing motivation for those who enjoy pushing their limits. In the end, *Radium* succeeds by staying focused on what it does best. It offers a distinctive take on movement and control, supported by carefully designed challenges that reward precision and persistence. While its minimalist approach may limit its appeal to a broader audience, it provides a satisfying and engaging experience for players who appreciate games built around skill and mastery rather than variety or spectacle. Rating: 7/10
This game should be free because of how simple it is. Older phone or web games of this grade were always free - don't lower your standards people. Just like many other platformers, you might find challenging levels, but none of those levels feel rewarding or exciting.

Basically a flash game
Radium is a very simple game with very basic components, but hell if they aren't well-designed. You use two gravity... turrets(?) to move the ball to the goal. It is a fairly unique concept, and the controls feel intuitive after a while. Ball movement is super smooth, there a re a lot of obstacles and gimmicks that add quite a bit of challenge, and the restart button is lightning fast (praise the lord!). There is no inane story or redundant visuals; the game focuses solely on the gameplay. Radium, is fun, and I haven't had fun with a physics based puzzle game since Portal.
