Walking through some landscapes with various nonsensical parkour might be fun if the game had any life, or reasoning. Everything just feels dead. The visuals are 3d and the character moves his head around for no reason. Also, his eyes glow for whatever reason. I'm not saying this game couldn't be good, but this game isn't worth 10 bucks. https://youtu.be/kagPEfAdGMk
I bought this because I saw Mr. Jacob's review be passive-aggressively called disengenuous cause he said his opinion on something he spent money on (if those wierdos want to argue to me, i guess go ahead if you want to make yourself look like an idiot again), and I wanted to see if I can experience the game for myself and have my own opinion. I plan on not refunding this cause I love supporting artists. I dont want to consider this a "hate buy." Awfully unoptimized. Even though I sadly only have integrated graphics on my pc, it has 16GB of ram and should more than be able to run a game said to be able to be ran on 4GB RAM and matching hardware for mininum requirements, but alas I have 10FPS consistently and the foilage constantly flickers making the game hard to look at some times, you can blame me for not having the best of hardware, cause I dont, but the developer wrote that the game is compatible with computers as low end as 4GB of RAM. From what I've seen barely anything goes on, especially during the first ten minutes of play when you should be attempting to be getting your player hooked with something cool. A story doesnt seem to be established or any interesting gameplay outside of running to the right, hopping on platforms, some of them looking like obstacles from wipeout for whatever reason. I saw the developer respond on another review that the environments are "blooming with life and detail." Though they look pretty good, you shouldnt make the environment the focus of your game, coming from both a developer and player's perspective. The character controller is odd. I struggled on different platforms, including the first one in the game, unless if Im constantly running for whatever reason. The grappling hook is also jank as hell, and the process to use it takes a little too long to be comfortable and snappy. The camera position is also kinda odd, and have definitely seen better camera perspectives in platformers, with it feeling a little too low for my liking. For what ever reason, the developer didn't even care enough to add in a pause menu, and they didnt care enough to add actual options to their options menu, with it boasting only a credits menu, with the developer ranting about himself and his vision. I don't want to hate very hard, and I can tell the developer cares a lot more than the average steam asset flipper, but I can also tell that theyre definitely a novice, and seem to not understand certain design philosophies, nor do they understand how to apply proper polish. Id love to play a bit further if the developer adds a bit better polish to the game, with proper optimization and some extra feel.
