Not a bad little game, though it is pretty short, taking under an hour to complete, and I only took 0.8 hours because I was trying to get 5k gold for the achievement, but I just couldn't find enough, lol. Here is some information: -Map never changes, so you could map out the entire dungeon if you wanted to. -After a certain point, leveling up becomes pointless since you can one-shot everything. It's just really to refresh your HP. -The combat is pretty basic, just left click to attack. And once you understand the attack timing, you can basically never get hit again. -HP fully refills when you buy the HP upgrade, so don't bother until you're low on HP. -3 Enemy types, skeletons with different levels of armor. -If you die, you can start again from the beginning, but keep your upgrades & money. It would be nice to see them add more levels or something. Even just different dungeon layouts with different enemies would be neat.

Quescaper, developed and published by Neki4 Electronics, is a straightforward dungeon-crawling action game that leans heavily into simplicity and accessibility. It doesn’t attempt to build a sprawling RPG system or a narrative-heavy experience; instead, it focuses on a compact gameplay loop centered around exploration, combat, and gradual improvement. The result is a title that is easy to understand and quick to engage with, though its limited scope becomes more apparent the longer you spend with it. The setup is minimal by design. You find yourself in a labyrinthine dungeon with little explanation, armed with basic equipment and tasked with finding a way out. Progress depends on locating keys hidden throughout the maze while surviving encounters with hostile creatures that roam its corridors. There is no emphasis on story or character development, and the game makes no effort to guide you beyond its core objective. This stripped-down approach allows players to jump directly into the action, but it also means the experience relies almost entirely on its mechanics to maintain interest. Gameplay revolves around moving through interconnected rooms, engaging enemies in simple melee combat, and collecting coins used for upgrades. The combat system is intentionally uncomplicated, focusing on timing and positioning rather than complex inputs or abilities. Enemies drop resources that can be used to improve your character, creating a sense of incremental progression as you move deeper into the dungeon. Exploration plays an equally important role, as players must search for keys and navigate branching paths, occasionally encountering hidden rewards or unexpected threats. The pacing is relatively relaxed compared to more demanding dungeon crawlers or roguelites. While there is an element of danger, the game does not constantly pressure the player, allowing for a more measured approach to exploration and combat. This makes it approachable, particularly for players who prefer a less intense experience. However, this same quality can also make the game feel repetitive, as the core loop remains largely unchanged throughout the playthrough. Without significant variation in mechanics or enemy behavior, the experience can begin to feel predictable over time. Visually, Quescaper adopts a bright and simple 3D style that prioritizes clarity. The environments are easy to read, which helps with navigation and combat, but they lack the detail and diversity needed to create a strong visual identity. Enemy and character designs are functional, serving their purpose without leaving a lasting impression. The overall presentation is clean but modest, reinforcing the game’s focus on basic gameplay rather than aesthetic ambition. In terms of content, the game offers a relatively short experience. A full playthrough can be completed in a few hours, depending on how thoroughly players explore the dungeon and engage with its systems. While there is some replay value in improving performance or revisiting areas, the lack of deeper progression systems or varied objectives limits long-term engagement. It feels more like a contained experience designed for brief sessions rather than an expansive game meant for extended play. Despite its limitations, Quescaper has a certain appeal in its simplicity. It provides a clear and accessible gameplay loop that can be enjoyable in short bursts, particularly for players looking for a casual dungeon-crawling experience without complex systems or steep learning curves. At the same time, its lack of depth, variety, and long-term progression prevents it from standing out within the genre. Ultimately, Quescaper is a modest and focused title that delivers a functional, easy-to-understand experience but doesn’t push beyond its basic concept. It succeeds as a simple, short adventure but falls short of offering the depth or variety needed to leave a stronger impression. Rating: 6/10
Quescaper is an incredibly engaging game with complex puzzles and unique scenarios. The graphics, sound effects and music add to the immersive experience. The developers have already created fantastic levels, but I'm looking forward to more updates and new content to keep the game fresh and exciting.
Good game for the price, fun wont lie. But do wish the achievements worked a little better, should have them all but it wont seem to trigger.
Ну и хрeнь
Отличная игра для любителей квестов и приключений. Захватывающий сюжет, интересный геймплей и много увлекательных заданий. Рекомендую!
Quescaper is a brilliant puzzle adventure that had me hooked from the start. The puzzles are clever and satisfying to solve, and the story is engaging. It's a must-play for any puzzle enthusiast!
