Story is good. Graphic & Leveldesign are good (for HOG Game), puzzles are good like usual, enough content (not played bonus mission yet) Good for Hidden Object Fans & Steam Achievement Hunters (buy with Discount)
This game is more neutral for me but I'm rating it negative purely because it literally tells you the story (through minigames) and yet you cannot and do not do anything about it. You stick to your course as if you had skipped the games. It doesn't let you talk to your best friend, doesn't let you do the things any normal human would do, and has some of the most frustratingly annoying puzzles. It's an alright game, with an alright story and an alright overall setup, but it tries too hard to go for a shock that just isn't there because, once again, they told us this earlier. When it comes down to it, I don't particularly care. And all of that, for $15? Ha. Ha. Haha. No.
Fun ;p
It may have nothing to do with queen's or royalty in general, and it's also a kind of Dollar Tree Harry Potter rip-off but it's still an enjoyable HOG for the most part. It's certainly way better than the first "Queen's Quest!" Story: 3.5/5 I did like the story including the (somewhat predictable) twist, but I felt that it went on for a bit too long and dragged near the end. Graphics/Animation: 4/5 Lovely environments and landscapes. Plus, you can sort of pet some bunnies and mice here and there. The character animations are actually not bad but the 3D animation sequences look very clunky. Voice Acting: 4/5 Good for the most part but some character voices were a little flat Hidden Object Puzzles: 4.5/5 Plenty of them, and a nice variety of the standard "find all these items" and "find these specific pieces/parts." I was a little confused by some of the wording at times. i.e. "Club" actually was the club symbol you see on playing cards, not a weapon. Other Puzzles: 4.5/5 A nice variety of easy and reasonably challenging puzzles. I have to call b.s. on the one "puzzle" where you have to find certain branch pieces in a big mess of vines and twigs. Music/Sound: 5/5 A very beautiful and epic soundtrack fitting for a fantasy adventure story. Final Grade: 85% B Definitely worth buying, although, waiting for a sale isn't a bad idea.
Queen’s Quest 3: The End of Dawn is a fantasy-themed hidden object adventure developed by Brave Giant LTD and published by Artifex Mundi, continuing a style of narrative-driven puzzle games that the publisher has refined over the years. Framed as the final chapter in the Queen’s Quest trilogy, the game places players in the role of Eliana, a talented alchemy student nearing the completion of her studies at the prestigious Zora Academy. What begins as a seemingly straightforward graduation trial quickly evolves into a far more personal and dangerous journey, blending magical intrigue, ancient artifacts, and buried secrets into a classically structured fantasy narrative. The gameplay adheres closely to the hidden object adventure formula, but does so with polish and a sense of abundance. Players explore a wide range of hand-painted locations, each filled with interactive hotspots, inventory-based puzzles, and detailed hidden object scenes. The environments range from enchanted forests and mystical ruins to laboratories and arcane sanctuaries, all designed with vibrant color palettes and layered visual depth. These scenes reward careful observation, as objects are often cleverly integrated into the background art rather than simply scattered in plain sight. For players who enjoy methodical searching and environmental storytelling, the design encourages slow, attentive exploration. Beyond hidden object sequences, the game features a substantial number of mini-games and logic puzzles that break up the visual scavenger hunts. These puzzles vary in structure and complexity, including pattern recognition challenges, mechanical alignments, code deciphering, alchemical crafting tasks, and rune-based problem solving. Many of these are tied thematically to Eliana’s role as an alchemist, reinforcing the narrative context. The alchemy mechanic in particular adds flavor to the adventure, as players gather ingredients and combine them to progress, tying puzzle mechanics directly to story progression rather than feeling like arbitrary interruptions. Narratively, The End of Dawn follows a traditional fantasy arc. Eliana’s journey becomes increasingly personal as revelations surface about her past and the true nature of the artifact she seeks. Themes of identity, destiny, and responsibility unfold in a predictable yet earnest manner. While the story may not introduce groundbreaking twists, it maintains a steady sense of purpose and cohesion. Dialogue sequences and lore elements provide enough context to make the world feel inhabited, even if character depth remains somewhat archetypal. The pacing balances exposition with puzzle-solving segments, ensuring that neither overwhelms the other. Visually, the game stands out through its illustrated art style. Each location resembles a painted fantasy tableau, filled with intricate detail and subtle animation. Characters are stylized and expressive, and while animations can occasionally feel rigid, the overall aesthetic maintains consistency. The artistic direction emphasizes clarity, ensuring that gameplay elements remain readable without sacrificing decorative charm. Cutscenes and transitions may not rival high-budget cinematic productions, but they effectively convey the necessary emotional beats. Audio design supports the fantasy atmosphere with orchestral-inspired background music and full voice acting. The voice performances vary in intensity and delivery, but they generally succeed in conveying character personality. Ambient sounds and magical effects complement the environments, helping create a sense of immersion during exploration. While the soundtrack may not be particularly memorable on its own, it enhances the mood without becoming intrusive. One of the game’s strengths is its volume of content. The main campaign offers several hours of gameplay, and the inclusion of a bonus chapter extends the adventure further for those who wish to fully complete the experience. Collectibles, achievements, and optional challenges provide additional incentives for thorough exploration. For fans of the hidden object genre, this abundance ensures that the game feels substantial rather than fleeting. Despite its strengths, The End of Dawn does not radically innovate within its genre. Some puzzles may feel familiar to seasoned players of Artifex Mundi titles, and the overarching narrative structure follows established fantasy conventions. However, its execution remains solid, and its charm lies in consistency rather than reinvention. The balance between hidden object scenes, logic puzzles, and story progression keeps the experience engaging throughout. Ultimately, Queen’s Quest 3: The End of Dawn delivers a well-crafted fantasy adventure tailored for fans of hidden object games. Its combination of richly illustrated environments, varied puzzles, and accessible storytelling creates a cohesive and satisfying journey. While it may not redefine the genre, it offers a polished and content-rich experience that rewards patient exploration and thoughtful problem-solving. For players seeking a relaxing yet engaging puzzle adventure wrapped in magical themes, it stands as a dependable and enjoyable entry within Artifex Mundi’s catalog. Rating: 7/10
