Quantum Void

Just finished a playthrough with the full completion ending in VR & on Linux. Fun thrilling space mystery, mostly a puzzley, adventure, exploration vibe with occasional bouts of combat, very similar to Red Matter 2 but with much better gunplay. Creepy, but as someone not into horror games, it was fine - definitely makes you cautious when exploring new sections but I think there were only like 2 actually startling moments during the game, it's more the immersive atmosphere & isolation slowly building tension. Story kept me engaged, graphics were nice and immersive, performance was smooth, sound design really pulls you into the actions and makes you feel "in" the space, environment felt curated with a consistent "nasa-punk" style. Played with GE-Proton11, BSB2e, Index Controllers, & Monado.

It’s a really well-made space mystery adventure game. There are no brutal battles or complicated brain puzzles, but the graphics and sound effects perfectly recreate the immersive feeling of being left all alone on a broken spaceship. While walking along a spaceship wrecked by an anomaly, the conversation is transmitted only through a spherical character terminal, and we must find a clue to the mystery. I also love the realistic hyper warp mechanism. Merci Lionel!

game took me about 10 hours but i did as much as i could without looking anything up. This game is really good like really good for what it cost its probably my fav new vr game it is kinda scary it has some action puzzle solving flying ships talking to people whats not to love? I love how it looks its not hype realistic and it does not need to be. only thing i would like different is more enemy's to fight maybe more use of the tool that you get and i was really hoping to do a space fight but honestly its not needed and makes sense why its not in the game bc that would get rid of the feeling of not being able to defend yourself and being scared of that but this game is great all in all 9/10

Played in VR on Vive Pro 2, using original vive wands. You will have to remap controller buttons for wands by deleting primary button on one hand, and deleting secondary button on the other hand because the auto-apply makes the menu button be both (a) and (b) at the same time. But I played almost seven hours now, so it works! Fun game and I get to relax and take my time wandering around the ships. I was very pleased that the spaceship flying was handled via your controller joysticks and not a virtual joystick. I had no problem navigating at all. Looks optimized by reusing texture maps and limiting physics objects, among other things. Runs great. They even got in-game overhead projectors to map(?) the light hitting the wall to match the color of light beams traveling through the air over your head. Never seen that in VR before. And you get cute dog pics as a special treat!

Great VR experience. I've only played the game for a few hours but I love it already. I do agree with other people's comments about some aspects of the gameplay being tedious and a little janky, but the atmosphere and immersion is what really makes this game fun. It has a good variety of gameplay where you go from flying in the ship to exploring other ships and solving puzzles with some enemies here and there. The combat isn't great, but it's pretty sparse and i think it only exists to break the monotony. For some reason, I love the look of CRT screens in VR games and they are everywhere here. If you like constant action in games, this probably isn't for you, but if you are like me and enjoy casual exploration style games, you will probably love Quantum Void.
