Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I do not recommend
Ah, it looks like old quake, and plays like one. It's fun, it's quick paced, and it's a fresh thing in a world of COD, CS and other fancy shooters. There's something unique about playing a match of quake

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Too many sweaty MAGA boomer pedophiles play this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 20 yo Christian video game.
UPDATE 5/22/26: Crashing issue resolved after doing a few system updates. Game is playable now (and is very fun), but there are still some fundamental issues. Anyways, the weapon balance is better than Quake 3 and there are a bunch of quality of life features present. Unfortunately there are some issues, modding is virtually nonexistent*, there is no native Linux version, and most servers are FFA or Clan Arena (although this has been somewhat changing with Freeze Tag servers becoming popular). Overall if you know what you're getting into, Quake Live is absolutely worth it on a sale, and you will have a lot of fun [strike]getting wrecked by veterans [/strike] playing. * There are client mods, however they require the server you're playing on to also have them installed before they are "enabled"

OLD REVIEW: This is a locked down, unmoddable* version of Quake 3 running in a Chrome instance with various balance changes**. Used to run okay under Proton (that's right, NO native Linux binary despite being idtech3), but recently has become unplayable because it crashes every 5-10 minutes despite not changing anything for over half a decade. Changing the proton build to 9.0 does nothing to fix the issue. Play Reflex, Openarena with ratmod, or Xonotic instead because those are actually maintained projects. If you still want to play Quake Live, stick with FFA or freeze tag, don't bother with Clan Arena. Might give a proper review if I manage to fix the issue. * Steam workshop mods require the server you're playing on to also have the mod installed. ** For the better, QL is balanced nicely versus stock Q3
