Гра дитинства. Раніше воно здаалось більш реалістичним, та все ж, від цього гра не стає гіршою. Лише під кинець гри стає нудно та складнувато трохи, а так в цілому гра легка. Різноманіття тут присутнє.

I finished Quake 4 yesterday. I expected a straight shooter, something simple in its mechanics compared to some of the other games I've been playing recently. It's so simple in its mechanics that there isn't even a "use" key. This isn't a bad thing just an observation. It's a sequel to Quake 2 and unlike Quakes 1-3 it was developed by Raven Software rather than Id software although Id was involved in overseeing the project. So the story is that humanity is continuing its war against the Strogg. An alien race like the borg that merges biology and cybernetics. It looks nice even now although I may be more appreciative of older games than other reviewers you might encounter. Same engine as Doom 3 and looks quite similar. I like the arsenal of weapons and I might even consider it among the best weapons loadouts in an FPS. Cutting loose with the hyperblaster and the nailgun was particularly satisfying. Although the game seems decent enough it somehow feels like less than the sum of its parts. The vehicle sections were okay. Some parts better than others. The best parts of the game for me was when I had space to actually move around. I feel like the plethora of constrictive corridors really stifled the combat. Too much time waiting around on lifts. Maybe once or twice would've been okay but it happened many times. I saw a youtube comment that referred to Quake 4 as a slog. It pains me to agree with that. A slog with the Strogg. It's solid. Not bad but not particularly good. I cannot bring myself to recommend it. Some people love it. I'm not one of those. Maybe if I had played it 2005 I would have. In contrast I played Far Cry 1 before this and liked it a lot. The combat was just more fun and the conclusion more satisfying.

It needs heavy updating If you're not tech savy, do not buy it because it will not render it into normal resolution nor will it let you. It will not let you render it beyond 1920 * 1080, you will be mostly stuck with 720p or lower.

Прикольно мне зашло, мне нравится этот стиль Doom 3, рекомендую.

A great FPS game, a classic even though I have gotten my hands on this gem very recently. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, its good level design, and the shooting. Story wasn't anything special (though I enjoyed it), but still if you like weird alien races and ominous places with dysmorphic, gruesome atmosphere, Quake 4 is for you.

This game is so underrated and overhated It's truly the black sheep of the franchise yet I still love it
