Pylorus is a 2d roguelite with fantasy medieval setting and a few peculiar twists. Enemies form a dynamic ecosystem with factions and rivalries, you'll need to learn how to exploit their behaviour if you want to succeed. It's up to you to decide when a run is over: escape as soon as possible or stay for more gold - but risk losing everything! Can you solve the mysteries hidden in the deepest tunnels? Long-time roguelike players and newcomers alike may enjoy the challenging (yet highly customizable) gameplay and the non-linear complex lore, set in a procedural environment that encourages experimentation and emergent gameplay. Everyone knows that the underground caves are full of gold coins, jewels and gems just scattered around for anyone to collect. But they're also home to horrible monsters, hideous and evil creatures that murder each other and anyone that dares to enter. For every ten people who get in, only one comes back: always traumatized, often wounded... sometimes filthy rich. With such low odds only a madman would willingly descend into the abyss... or perhaps someone with no other options left.

It's actually pretty dope it's got bosses and yes it is very challenging I feel like the triangle for my melee doesn't follow my mouse right sometimes, but that could be me honestly overall though I played two bosses and they're pretty interesting if you like bullet hell top down games it's definitely worth a look for free.
I'm rewriting this review for the 1.1.0 version that i somehow missed by 4 days. The game is still as good as before. There are a few bugs such as the area that you can attack is larger than it shows on screen, and the shop crashes your game when you open it. Although this happens the game still feels like your going through an adventure and have it all summarised which makes it feel like you have a story to leave behind as your character. Also I would love to see Mod Support because I want to make some mods for this game since i think some things are lacking here. I would also love to see a building system where you can build a temporary base that can protect you from the enemies, and have durability so they can break down. Also I would want to see at least a guaranteed chance to have a boss spawn on the 5 minute mark of playing on one of the layers. I know this could be extremely hard because I know how hard coding is. Also another idea is to add a dimension that spawned more stronger enemies and had different unlocks that you can bring back to the main dimension where you can unlock badges and such. And the last thing I would want to see are collectables that could be to decorate skins or just some cases that give advantages when you start the game.
Pylorus - Footsteps of Greed GAMEPLAY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQoIcNcHm-s&ab_channel=STEAMNEWGAMES
"Pylorus - Footsteps of Greed" is an amateurish, badly made top down action "roguelike" (read: Procgen algorithms used as a substitute for content) where you search for gold in some kind of pixel-esque/MS-Paint nightmare of a technical delivery. There's lightweight RPG elements, but the primary part of the experience here is just awful game design and worse implementation. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The graphics here are particularly awful, so bad that it actually stands out as one of the worst looking games on Steam. Quite an accomplishment. It's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options.
