Puzzle Depot

A polished and premium version of Depot Dungeons, one of the juiciest and most delightful puzzlers I've had the pleasure to play. I'm only a few levels into this version, but I can't wait to play more.

A very 90s styled adventure puzzle game with 21st century puzzle design. Can be played quite fast and loose to just get through a level, but really shines when plannning a run that does all the objectives, as the purpose of every item and element accross a level become clear.

This game has so much depth of content, it's insane. Highly recommend as a sokoban game with some exploration elements. The community surrounding the game is very cool and friendly too!

A little less than an hour into this gem and I can tell I'm going to sink a bunch of time into this.

My brain stopped working at the 5th level. The list of "am too dumb to clear the game" now has two games. First is Baba Is You. 10/10 would wait for 10+ years again to buy the game only to get stuck after playing for 10 hours

The game itself is very charming, and the humor is spot on. The art style lends to the SNES era feels I get when I play this game. The puzzles vary in difficulty and complexity and there are multiple solutions depending on the items you find in each level. I have one criticism for the devs though, and that is there is no indication that you'll be locked out of previous areas or floors when you trigger a story sequence. I feel this damages an overall masterpiece of a sokuban. Hopefully they can figure out a way to resolve this minor hiccup, whether that be an option you can enable or just a prompt saying something like "Any unsolved puzzles in this level will become unavailable, do you wish to continue?. If you like sokubans/push block puzzle games, this one is definitely worth picking up. If you can't justify their pricetag at the moment, at least wishlist the game!

Amazing game. Beautiful hand-painted pixels, challenging puzzles and a gripping storyline. It's huge, too - feels like I'm only a little over halfway through - and has immense replayability thanks to the optional challenges. Unequivocally recommended. It is really challenging, though - some of the rooms are mind-bending. I played this on Steam Deck and it's honestly the perfect way to play the game. A great 'pull out and play for a few minutes' game, but also one you can devote considerable blocks of time to as well.

I picked this up because I was hoping for something similar to Isles of Sea and Sky, which this... isn't, but not necessarily in a bad way. It has more distinct levels than IoSaS, and has some strange design choices, but overall scratches that puzzle-game itch. I, personally, don't love the mission objectives or the move counter, but you can turn the move counter off and largely ignore the harder objectives, so it doesn't really take away from anything. Definitely worth picking up if you're a Sokoban fan, even if it's a bit rough around the edges.

This is a very good game, but its not a small bite to chew. Its very difficult & easy to softlock yourself out of a perfect score so expect to replay levels multiple times if you want to get everything. Levels are very long, like 1h minimum, but within the levels each screen is generally compartmentalized into individual puzzles. The difficulty comes from the fact that you're expected to solve each screen 'perfectly' or you take damage or lose an item. If you liked Isle of Sea And Sky, just think of this as a little bit more of a technical version of that. The story is cheesy when it tries to be serious, but the robot was pretty funny. RIP
