If you played Mafia Wars on Facebook back in the day and are looking for something to scratch that itch and turn that into an actual game, this is easily the best option. However it does feel like it's lacking a bit in content. I think it needs a couple of updates, either free or paid, to really make it shine. Would really like to see the ability to make female characters as well.
love this game very fun for the price but pleasepleaseplease let me change certain sounds volumes! the pager hurts my ears hahaha
Let me start with a begrudging and painful "Yeah, all right, it barely passes the thumbs up" And the follow up, "Only buy it when its on at least 80% if not more discounted" Now for the nitty-gritty. Back in the early days of gaming there was a phenomina called "Drug Wars" set in New York in the late 80's early 90's, followed up with it's sequel "Dope Wars" set in the early to mid 90's. Now Kudos to the dev for what they have done, don't get me wrong on that. This game starts you off on the intial game "Drug Wars" where you are initiated into the game in New York (with the devs variation), and proceeds to open you up to the sequel in the same game "Dope Wars" where you branch out to other cities across America (with the devs variations again). You have 30 days (in game) achievement to build as much money as you can, unlike the original when you hit that 30 days you can continue. The game is pretty much point and click for the most part, with a couple of in game mini-games (if you could call them that). Graphics reminiscence of the ealy 90's era, I played with the audio off so don't know (nor do I worry) about the game music and sounds, though I am certain they would get annoying). The in game achievements are doable on your first run if you have an existing understanding of some of the key aspects to obtain them, though if your going to jump in, maybe 3-5 runs of the game for complete achievements. (A vast amount of loopholes in the game to exploit to obtain the achievements or a highscore) I did find the game liked to crash quite frequently, and usually occoured after a few hours, saves can only be done through you 'Home' location in the game, which adds to the annoyance. Unlike the originals, you can not build an army (of sorts), you can not keep increasing your holding capacity (Maximum appears to be capped at 285 units). In summary: It was purchased based on nostalgia and a massive discount, I was expecting more to it, but it is what it is. Recommended: Barely a yes, and that's mainly nostalgia. Replayability: Again barely and extremely limited. Drawbacks: Regular crashing (for me), high hopes and expectations that given that its fairly recent would have had more to it. -Universal Gamer
It's good for around 2.8 hours, I'd say. Once you get the semi-truck and sniper rifle, it's pitifully easy, just go to Miami, buy cocaine, and then go to the city above it, which is Memphis or something. After you get around 10 million, just launder that and then buy a bunch of businesses and boom: you're set for life. Just play GTA Online, it's much more fun than this, at least you can drive around in a lowrider after you make money.
ist okay aber sobald man einmal weiß wie es läuft, total langweilig. aber ist okay... 6 euro für 2 stunden spass ^^
Gra elegancka, lecz ! totalnie porzucona ja w ciągu 3 godzin mam ponad 1 miliard i handel różnymi substancjami już nie jest opłacalny tylko legalne biznesy szkoda że sie nie da sprowadzać np z takiej Kolumbii koksu itp inaczej mówiąc bardziej rozwijać biznes narkotykowy mam 72 osiągnięcia no bo reszta to zwykły grind no cóż szkoda
