[/url] [/u] (NO ACHIEVEMENTS) Title: PURSUED Summary: Cop chase sim game Personal notes: Pursued is an arcade style driving game based on escaping police in car chases. The idea itself is simple enough, you avoid the cops for as long as possible in hot pursuit. Unfortunately the execution of this feels very barebones. The gameplay is very limited, you only have access to one car with the only objective being to avoid the law. In addition to this the map/island is incredibly small and can be lapped in about a minute making this limited gameplay stale fairly quick. The ai is also pretty incosistent and cops have no regard towards others. On top of all of this, the game runs really poorly(pc specs attached). It feels laggy and rough even with the small map which makes the only thing you are doing, which is driving, feel unresponsive and clunky. I also was unable to turn left with my keyboard so I had to find a remote to actually play. Visually, the game looks good but runs bad. The environment looks good but its so laggy and small that I cant appreciate it fully. The audio is very minimal with a song on repeat while evading the police, in addition to some sound effects that were way too loud and would cut in and out. Nothing really stands out and makes the experience feel more lifeless than it already is. Achievement wise this game has none so no need to worry about that. All things considered, Pursued feels like a good idea/rough prototype rather than a fully developed game. The core idea is basic yet fun, police chases are timeless. But the lack of content, map size, poor performance and zero progression with limited gameplay makes it hard to stay interested for long. It is quite cheap so I can understand some of the shortcomings but there really just isn't enough here to recommend this to anyone unless you're looking for a very cheap and simple driving game.
