Puzzle with beautiful pixel art and nice mechanic, but also a frustrating design choice and a bug that prevents progress. The game starts a bit sad. A kitty forgets to look before crossing the street and ends up in heaven. But all is not lost because it has a chance to live again. It only needs to find three shards of its soul. These shards are located near the end of three worlds. Each world is a collection of puzzles that may be mostly solved by utilizing one basic mechanic: echoes. The cat gets the ability to die and leave echoes on the spot. These echoes can be hopped on and used as platformers to get to the exit. You can position them whenever you push the button, including in the air, but only seven times per stage. This takes us to an issue that may be a deal breaker for many: no restart option. If you botch up your echoes placement and are unable to reach the exit, you must quit to the hub area and complete most puzzle again. Puzzles come in packs of five, so imagine the frustration when you fail the fifth puzzle. Death returns you to a checkpoint, so you cannot truly die. A stage can contain multiple checkpoints, but you will always return to the last one. Each stage also includes a few gold coins, which I'm not sure what they're supposed to do, and one fish. While coins stay yours even after death, fish return to their original location. This can cause problems if you return to a distant checkpoint and are unable to reach the fish anymore. Unfortunately, fish are necessary for progress. After completing the entire pack, you will encounter a large cat who will not allow you pass until you bring it fish. If you have none, it will eat you and return you to the main menu. There’s a nasty bug here: even if you grab all the fish you can, the huge cat will still say that you have no fish and eat you.
