Our civilization has fallen. From the ashes, four new powers emerge. Immerse yourself in a combat-heavy twist on a classic turn-based 4X strategy where steam, steel, atom and diesel-punk corporations clash to spread their technology and the way of life.

"Punk Wars: Prologue" is not a game, it's an advertisement for Punk Wars, which is a sort of dumbed down and badly balanced hybrid between a 4X strategy game and a turn based tactical game, which could work if done well, but it wasn't. But this is not that game, it's just an advertisement for it, and since advertisements for paid products like this chew up store space and choke off visibility that should be given to genuine amateur devs who struggle to find an audience for their games, this is almost impossible to recommend. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, that's nothing. I can't recommend advertisements to people. If you like ads, Youtube has plenty. If you don't, don't download this one.
Before I played Punk Wars: Prologue, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Beat the prologue twice, its a great game so far. Ill definitely get the whole game when I get paid. 9/10 at least.
♥♥♥♥ opquests
good looking models actually quite challenging every tech so far is very useful Not sure if it's convinced me to buy the full version i can recommend this game. The system is similar but also different to the Sid Meiers Civs.
Decent 4x game in a well realised post apocalypse setting. Lacks a difficulty setting & not much content, but unless you are ultra good, or a total newb, you should have a few hours fun with this. Can't believe some are rating it -ve, considering it's free. Not sure if it's convinced me to buy the full version, I'll see how I fee once my Christmas holiday starts. The game is very similar to Gladius, but not as well polished, and lack of quality sound reduces the immersion a little. Has some nice steam punk type events, and you can make your population happy which is one way it's better than Gladius.
Хорошая игра. Советую поиграть хотя бы 1 час, если вы понимаете о чём я....)
Too oldish game style for my taste!
Kiedy pełna wersja? Grało się ok.
