BRAVO!!!THE BEST GAME I NEVER TRY BEFORE,MORE FUN THAN MARIO This game is just so creative and impress me ,we can summon the boss monster to help us explore the level , even the fly system is just amazing! LIKE THE IDEA OF THE GAME ! Keep Going , Thanks Developer!
https://youtu.be/Mw-_cRXb4xU To put it kindly this very small game that does its best to make something out of the resources it has available to it. Or in slightly less kind terms, this game is a mess. Visuals are a mix of resolutions, perspectives, lighting and style. The interface is sloppy and shows incorrect labels for input. Input that is poorly laid out and can't keep up with all the buttons a player might press at the same time. The core gameplay is a simple platformer but the weak level design and spotty collision detection drain it of challenge and enjoyment. The occasional boss levels offer nothing to shake up the experience.
Pulut Adventure is an indie side-scrolling action game developed by yayapipi and published by Yayapipi Studio that embraces the spirit of old-school platformers while attempting to deliver a broader feature set than many games in its category. Released during a period when Steam was welcoming a wave of experimental independent projects, it stands as a title driven more by creativity than technical refinement. From the outset, the game introduces players to a colorful fantasy setting filled with monsters, collectibles, and an assortment of gameplay systems that extend beyond simply moving from one stage to another. Although its presentation immediately reveals its modest budget, there is an undeniable sense of ambition behind its design. The adventure unfolds across more than thirty stages, giving players a respectable amount of content for a relatively small game. Progression is supported by a mixture of exploration and combat, with each level presenting new enemies and opportunities to acquire equipment. One of the title's more interesting features is its emphasis on collecting weapons from defeated foes. Rather than treating weapons as cosmetic upgrades, Pulut Adventure assigns unique abilities to many of them, encouraging players to experiment with different approaches. This creates a satisfying loop of discovery, particularly for completionists who enjoy uncovering every item hidden throughout a game world. Beyond its weapon system, Pulut Adventure distinguishes itself with mechanics that are uncommon in indie platformers of its era. Players can summon creatures to assist them in battle, adding an extra layer to encounters that might otherwise feel simplistic. The inclusion of a flying ability also changes how levels are approached, opening alternative routes and giving traversal a greater sense of freedom. Combined with running, jumping, and skill-based attacks, these systems provide enough variety to prevent the experience from becoming repetitive. While none of these mechanics are especially deep on their own, their collective presence demonstrates a willingness to experiment that is admirable for a project of this scale. Combat itself is functional and accessible. Enemies range from standard creatures to larger opponents equipped with flashier attacks, and the game attempts to keep players engaged through enemy variety rather than mechanical complexity. There are moments where battles can feel rough around the edges due to inconsistent responsiveness, but the overall pacing remains enjoyable for those willing to accept a few imperfections. The controls are straightforward and easy to learn, making the game approachable even for players with limited experience in the genre. However, veterans of precision platformers may occasionally find the movement and hit detection less polished than expected. Visually, Pulut Adventure adopts a bright and cheerful style that complements its lighthearted tone. Character sprites and environments are simple, yet they carry a certain charm that reflects the passion behind the project. The soundtrack and sound effects are similarly modest, serving their purpose without becoming standout elements. Given the game's age, some aspects of its presentation understandably feel dated, but they contribute to the nostalgic atmosphere rather than detract from it entirely. Players who appreciate lesser-known indie releases may find its aesthetic reminiscent of the experimental titles that populated digital storefronts during the mid-2010s. Like many small independent productions, Pulut Adventure is not free from flaws. Technical issues and occasional bugs have been recurring points of criticism among players over the years, and certain design decisions can feel unrefined. Some stages lack the balance and consistency found in larger platforming games, and there are moments where the game's ambition exceeds its execution. Nevertheless, these shortcomings are offset to some degree by the sheer number of ideas packed into the experience. It is a game that consistently tries to offer something new, even if every feature does not fully reach its potential. Pulut Adventure ultimately succeeds as a charming curiosity within Steam's extensive library of indie titles. It may not redefine the platforming genre, nor does it possess the production quality necessary to compete with more prominent releases, but it offers enough creativity and content to justify a playthrough for fans of obscure adventures. Its blend of weapon collecting, summoning mechanics, flying exploration, and lengthy campaign gives it a unique identity that continues to make it memorable years after release. Rating: 6/10
Pulut is a game with no identity of its own as it uses assets and mechanics from many other games that feel very dysfunctional. It starts out as a Super Mario Bros abomination, the player is later given a sword – changing it into a hack n slash, and finally we are given shooting and flying abilities from a SHUMP type game. The level design never keeps up with these abilities to properly utilize these skills and challenge the player. By the end of the game it just feels like a bunch of cheat codes are enabled. The game just can’t decide what it wants to be and with no story to tie it all together or give it purpose. In the end it doesn’t feel like a game at all, but more of a weekend project someone would share freely with family or close friends.
