Like, it's free. and you really can't go wrong with free. The only thing you're wasting is your time, and you wont be wasting much since this game has exactly 2 Levels going for it. 1 Boss Fight, if you can even call it that. And basically nothing else going for it. no puzzles, no memorable encounters, no story besides what's stated in the description. It feels like they were setting up a real game here, And then it just ends. nothing else. Was this a tech Demo? theirs really nothing here to recommend unfortunately.
Нечтно странное и очень короткое, в ней представлено всего два уровня, которые если понимать что происходит, проходятся очень быстро. Кривоватая игра и все по сути в ней именно такое, а так провести в ней немного времени можно, отдохнуть от хороших игр когда хочется чего то свежего. the dogs were bad and the sound effects were worse, the boss has two phases, sit there and do nothing and move side to side and shoot. the file size for the game is far too much for what it was.
The game is short (just 2 levels) and has some enemies and a boss. Was a little fun for about 10 - 20 mins. However these are the problems that I see: 1) "Containment Breach Detected" kept getting repeated over and over again throughout both levels 2) The game is a bit large for 2 levels in my opinion. 3) The sound effects / voices felt cheap / basic. 4) I saw a generator at the end of the 2nd level but there were no power cores to fill it and even then it seemed optional as I got an Exit is available message. 5) I believe I only had to use the telekinetic ability for 2 types of things: Level 1 - move power cores, Level 2 - move boxes out of the way so you can progress. 6) You could also get stuck in Level 1 if you moved and dropped power cores without putting them into the generators as you can't pick the same one up a second time if you accidentally dropped it.
Psych Psych Psych... where do I even begin? No seriously, where do I begin, Psych is a mess. This good-for-nothing Psych costs you 4 gbs to install. Disgraceful. 3/10 please don't hurt me psych
Psych is an indie third-person action shooter developed by Shavaughn DaCosta and Zygobot and published by Shavaughn DaCosta alongside Ozgur Kaderoglu. Designed as a free-to-play experience on Steam, the game introduces players to a quirky science-fiction premise centered around an alien creature with telekinetic powers attempting to escape captivity. Rather than focusing heavily on complex storytelling, the game prioritizes action and experimentation with psychic abilities, offering a compact experience where players fight their way through hostile environments using a mixture of conventional attacks and supernatural powers. The project clearly reflects its indie roots, presenting a simple but creative concept that attempts to combine shooter mechanics with environmental interaction. The story serves primarily as a setup for the action rather than a deeply developed narrative. Players take control of Psych, a rare alien being gifted with powerful telekinetic abilities. These abilities have attracted the attention of a race of hostile extraterrestrials known as the Grugarians, who capture Psych and imprison him within a research facility. Their intention is to study and ultimately exploit his psychic powers for their own purposes. However, an unexpected accident within the laboratory creates chaos among the facility’s systems, giving Psych a brief opportunity to escape. From this point forward, the player must guide him through the facility, overcoming guards, experimental creatures, and defensive mechanisms in order to break free from captivity. Gameplay is built around a combination of third-person shooting and telekinetic manipulation. Players can attack enemies using standard projectile weapons, but the most distinctive feature of the game is Psych’s ability to interact with the environment through psychic power. Objects scattered throughout the levels can be lifted and thrown at enemies, allowing players to use the surroundings as improvised weapons. This mechanic adds a small but noticeable layer of creativity to the combat system. Instead of simply relying on gunfire, players can experiment with different ways of dealing with enemies by manipulating objects in the environment. The result is a hybrid combat style that mixes traditional shooter mechanics with physics-based interactions. In addition to combat, telekinetic abilities also play a role in solving environmental challenges. Certain sections of the game require players to pick up and move objects in order to activate machinery or open pathways through the facility. For example, power cells may need to be placed into generators to unlock doors or restore energy to certain systems. These puzzle elements are relatively straightforward, but they help break up the combat segments and add variety to the gameplay. They also reinforce the concept that Psych’s powers are not limited to combat but can be used as tools for navigating the environment. Enemy encounters occur throughout the laboratory complex and include both alien guards and automated defensive systems. Some enemies attack from a distance, while others attempt to close the gap and overwhelm the player at close range. Turrets and other mechanical threats also appear in certain areas, forcing players to stay mobile and make use of cover when possible. Because attacks can come from multiple directions, positioning becomes important during combat. Players must balance offense and movement while deciding whether to rely on weapons or telekinetic attacks to eliminate threats. The visual presentation of Psych reflects the modest scale of its development. The game uses stylized 3D graphics with relatively simple character models and environments. The laboratory setting features metallic corridors, research rooms, and mechanical structures that emphasize the idea of a scientific facility where experiments are conducted. While the environments are not particularly detailed, they serve their purpose by providing a clear backdrop for the action. The colorful design of the alien characters and exaggerated visual effects adds a slightly playful tone that contrasts with the darker theme of experimentation and imprisonment. Sound design is functional but fairly minimal. Audio cues such as weapon fire, enemy attacks, and telekinetic interactions provide feedback that helps players understand what is happening during combat. The soundtrack and background sounds are relatively understated, serving primarily to support the gameplay rather than stand out as a major feature of the experience. While the audio design does not add significant atmosphere, it performs its basic role of reinforcing the action taking place on screen. One of the most appealing aspects of Psych is its accessibility. Because the game is free to play, players can easily try it without any financial commitment. The controls and mechanics are also straightforward, making it easy for newcomers to understand how to move, attack, and use telekinetic powers within a short amount of time. This simplicity allows the game to function well as a casual action experience that can be enjoyed in shorter play sessions. However, the game’s limited scope also becomes one of its most noticeable weaknesses. The mechanics introduced early in the experience remain largely unchanged as the game progresses, which can make the gameplay feel repetitive over time. Enemy variety is somewhat limited, and the environments do not change dramatically throughout the course of the escape. Players looking for deep progression systems, extensive narrative development, or highly polished visuals may find the experience somewhat lacking in those areas. Another limitation is the relatively small amount of content available. The game’s focus on a single escape scenario means that the environments and objectives remain fairly consistent throughout the experience. Although the telekinetic mechanics offer moments of creativity, they are not expanded into more complex gameplay systems that could significantly increase the depth of the experience. Despite these shortcomings, Psych still manages to stand out as an interesting experimental project. The concept of controlling an alien character who relies on psychic powers to manipulate the environment adds a unique flavor to what would otherwise be a very simple shooter. When the telekinetic mechanics are used creatively during combat, the gameplay can feel surprisingly satisfying. These moments highlight the potential of the idea even if the overall execution remains somewhat modest. Overall, Psych is a small but imaginative indie shooter that blends basic combat with environmental telekinesis. While the game does not offer the depth or polish of larger action titles, it still provides an enjoyable experience for players who appreciate experimental indie projects and simple arcade-style gameplay. Approached as a short and casual action game rather than a fully developed adventure, it delivers a few hours of entertaining sci-fi chaos centered around an alien’s fight for freedom. Rating: 6/10
