Interesting art style, absolutely not compelling at this stage. As of this review, this Early Access game is extremely rough around the edges and unpleasant to play.

Alien life simulator is an ambitious new game that pulled out all the stops for an indy developer. I wasn't sure what I was going to get going into it but after playing I was really impressed by this game. The movement is super crisp, as well as the run and gun style of killing my foes. This game makes you feel like an alien exploring a new planet. Also, the platforming puzzle scattered around the maps that I found was a massive plus!

really respect that you can take all your points out of Health and put them into other stuff, lots of freedom for how you want to build your character

Very fun and Very unique indie game. Wish more out there would spend as much time as the devs on this are. New stuff is rolling out as we speak and i for one am Super Excited!! Highly Recommend this game.

I've been playing since it came out in early access back in February 2021. It has come a long way since then. The last updates this year have really improved the game, making it more exciting and unique. What sets Alien Life Simulator apart from other games like Crab Champions and Risk of Rain 2 is its loadout system instead of pre-defined characters. This combined with being able to choose where you go and more clearly choose the buffs you get by manipulating your alien's emotions. This gives you a lot of freedom in how you play when it comes to your loadout. You can mix and match different guns, abilities, and even customize the look of your alien character before each run.

Really fun once you get use to all the mechanics. It takes time but until you learn you can just go around shooting things, which is fun in itself. [Revisiting due to game rework] Review still holds up. The dev added many helpful tips and features since Early Access! I still recommend giving it a go! Totally worth a couple bucks.
