Good challenge to this game, it's more a tower defense then a base builder.
Great concept. The mission/map generator is complete junk - no consistency in challenge
:protobuilder:

The idea of this game is cute, but the day/night cycles shouldn't be timed. It just makes me panic. It would be incredible if I could build my base in peace rather than scrambling and hoping I don't misplace a block, then wait for nightfall. Or at least extend the amount of time in the days
I have had this on my wishlist for a long time but never jumped in until recently, and now i regret waiting so long! Protolife is not something i have ever seen before. If anything it is closest to an RTS, but you wont be playing multiplayer here. Also the unique twist is that you Have to control a little drone which can ONLY do 5 things: Move, Place Crystals/blocks, Pickup Crystals, Deconstruct blocks. Just that is enough to create a really complex set of building rules that allows you to make as many and as varying buildings as in any other RTS. There are no units, only blocks and crystals. At first you play the game with limited amount of blocks, and you must then make sure to move each turret around into range of the red goop you must kill to win the level. But the more the game progresses, the more cool block formations you unlock and even then, you never get buildings that will outclass previous structures. Later levels get really really challenging, and it is almost too much sometimes, but i am still struggling on. I am typically playing on Steamdeck because you can use the FPS settings to slow the game down and thus make the game easier.

Very fun and challenging TD
entertaining, challenging 10/10
Very fun and surprsingly intricate. Very nice blend of tower defense with a little action: while no level requires it too much you can always go faster and try to win even the timed missions early with some surprisingly intense active play.
Awesome little strategy game with a feeling of overwhelming odds. It was fantastic.
