About
Prop Haunt is a psychological horror 4v1 multiplayer game where you play as either a Ghost or an Investigator. As a Ghost, haunt objects, gather energy, and scare Investigators to stop them from identifying your haunted items. As an Investigator, use cameras to find haunted objects while dodging the Ghost’s tricks—like power outages, slowdowns, and terrifying scares. Outsmart your opponents in this thrilling, spooky game!
Become the Investigator. Armed only with cameras, the investigator must scan rooms for signs of the paranormal. A chair moving on its own? A toaster floating? Every subtle sign matters in this supernatural showdown. Acquire power by zapping haunts to use the ultimate and stun ghosts or lock them in rooms temporarily to stop them from taking over. Survive the night to win!

Join a ghoulish team. Join 3 other ghosts and rack up points by haunting as many objects as possible—the more you haunt, the more powerful you'll become! But be careful—if you make it too obvious, you'll only help the investigator. Stay one step ahead by teleporting between rooms, choosing the perfect objects to haunt without giving yourself away.

The more haunted objects remain active, the more energy ghosts build. With enough power, they can mess with the investigator— turn off the power, open the garage door to slow down the investigation, and scare the hell out of them! Or use your power to destroy rooms and cut the investigator off from them for good.

Once the ghosts have enough power, they can work together to destroy rooms so the investigator can no longer use their cameras there. With enough rooms destroyed, the ghost will take over and win the match!

Reviews
Reviewership bias: I know the developer personally and have playtested the game myself, and have received a key for the game. This is such an amazing game. The polish and love is so clearly evident. As with all Early Access games there are bumps here and there. But the core gameplay loop and especially the new map (the police station) has left me positively craving more. Multiplayer games like this inspire instant memories and core memes that last for months or years and I have every reason to believe this game will do the same. The prop-possession mechanic is novel and fun, the scares from it are hilarious, the differing props and haunts are fun and interesting. The ability for the ghosts to assail the investigator is a fun mix on the pvpve mechanics of Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th. The atmosphere and music are similarly immersive and make me want to learn more. "Who is the bird woman and why is she hot?" Overall this game is worth your time and your money, even if horror games typically aren't your preference. Try it out, support a solo dev and have some fun with your friends.
Just in time for spooky season, this game is SO much fun. I'm always on the hunt for fun co-op games that aren't just 4 player, and I love getting to scare the ♥♥♥♥ out of my friends lmfao <3 You can really tell this game was made with love. The mechanics are super intuitive and the horror elements are so interesting, I am DYING for the lore. Highly recommend, scare ya later! ;D
game fun, you get to customize what ghost you're gonna spook around as and the atmosphere is phenomenal working with your fellow ghosties to try and best the investigator is really such a blast it also feels good to solo the ghosts as investigator >:)
Disclaimer: I'm madly in love with the developer of the game. He's promised to take me on a salacious adventure to the south of Europe. There will be Sicilian Calamari and body glitter involved. This will have no impact on my review. In all seriousness, this is a very fun game to jump in and goof off with your friends. It'd be a great party game and if you like sneaking around and making furniture float and accusing your friends of spawn camping with the cameras then boy howdy, time to lock in.
Prop Haunt is a game with a truly novel idea. It's the perfect game to pick up quickly and get some laughs and spooks with your friends. I've watched this game's development progress since it was first announced and it's truly remarkable how much can be created by such a small crew. It's clear that the creator just wanted to make a game he'd play with his friends on any random night of the week, and he's got a lot of cool ideas for its evolution. I'm excited to see where Prop Haunt goes; it's definitely worth picking up and playing today!
A super fun game to play with your friends! The haunts are silly and funny and spooky! It has been a fun group activity. Very excited for more levels and silly haunts to come out!
Prop Haunt takes the classic prop hunt formula and injects it with a chilling dose of horror — and the result is an absolute thrill ride. The game brilliantly blends fast-paced multiplayer chaos with eerie, suspenseful atmospheres that keep you on edge the entire time. Whether you’re hiding as a haunted object or hunting down suspicious props, every match is filled with tension, surprises, and plenty of jump scares. The haunted maps are incredibly well-designed, full of creepy ambiance, subtle lore, and just the right amount of darkness to make you question every shadow. What really sets Prop Haunt apart is its clever use of horror mechanics. As a prop, you’re not just hiding — you’re surviving. The longer you stay hidden, the more the supernatural starts to creep in. Hunters, on the other hand, have to stay sharp and not fall victim to the cursed objects and eerie distractions lurking around every corner. The sound design is incredible- eerie music that gets distinctly more intense as the match goes on. Combine that with smooth controls and a good balance between roles and you’ve got a horror party game that’s as addictive as it is unsettling. If you’re a fan of horror and love multiplayer games that keep your heart racing and your friends screaming, Prop Haunt is a must-play. Just don’t trust the lamp in the corner — it’s definitely watching you.
This game is amazing. The atmosphere is creepy with the eerie silence and set up of the house. My favorite was the Ghost mode, which allowed for some creative choices. Highly recommend for anyone going into spooky season!
Perfect timing for the spoopy season! Prop haunt is the kind of game you can jump into with a group of friends and goof around with some haunts. The gameplay is totally unique so you won't feel like you are playing "just another horror game". It was a ton of fun figuring out how to be sneaky as a spirit but I especially enjoy trying to hunt down the spirits as the investigator and try to find all the props they haunted. 10/10 a blast with friends!
This was a really fun game to play while I was hanging out with my friends. If you're looking for a party game where everyone can relax and haunt some chairs, this is the place.
