About
An idle, minimalist sci-fi game with a deep, unfolding mystery. You awaken as the Chroma Engine, a machine built for a single purpose: to create. In a silent, starless void, you must generate fundamental colors, mix them into complex new forms, and reignite the memory of a lost cosmos.
The universe is empty. Your function is to fill it. By allocating your power and building a vibrant resource engine, you can push back against the perfect nothingness. Each restored star is a new light in the dark and a fragment of a forgotten story, bringing you closer to understanding what was lost.
Create & Combine: Generate primary colors and unlock complex mixers to build an intricate production chain.
Reignite the Stars: Use your creations to generate Light and restore a vast, explorable Star Chart, unlocking powerful, permanent bonuses with each constellation.
Automate Everything: Evolve your engine with sophisticated automation to manage production and upgrades, allowing you to focus on cosmic restoration.
Discover the Past: Uncover the secrets of the void through fragmented lore entries tied to your progress.
Thank you for joining the Project Chromata! The game currently includes the entire first major story arc (Stage 1 & 2), offering a complete and satisfying gameplay experience from start to finish. We are hard at work developing the next massive content update, Stage 3, which will expand the story and introduce entirely new systems. We welcome you to our community and look forward to hearing your feedback as we continue to build upon the universe!

Completely ignore the hours, I've left it running doing nothing several times out of being busy I'm not that far into it (only starting into the void) but man these other reviewers must SUCK at basic arithmetic or not understand the concept of an idle incremental game.... Some of these complaints are wild and completely out of touch (with them not having even beaten constellation yet). The first 2/3rds of the constellation map era is pretty dang quick and active gameplay, the last 1/3rd is touching some buttons for a prestige and re-setup every 45 mins or so (especially if you bum-rush the tank upgrades over efficiency like I did; the payoff is good though); but overall that's not even really the tutorial, more of a prologue with lore/backstory. Balancing out and capping out your colors really doesn't take hardly any time or busywork, so far so good and I'm not even in the meaty gameplay yet. If you're going to coast through it lazily as I have, remember to actually close it when you're not active or deliberately waiting, and reopen it every here and there to spend the offline time into offline time capacity/mult/speed.
don't waste your time. really. there are 5 phases for now, it will probably take you a month or two (if you play a lot) to reach phase 4, which is not idle anymore, it's RTS and nearly impossible on some stages. i saw few players complaining about it and none thinking it's a good system. maybe one day the devs will nerf some enemies and make the game playable, for now it's pure frustration.

Wow, this game is a massive bait and switch. If you play this game know up front that it is only and idle style game until phase 4. Then it turns into an absolutely terrible RTS with horrible UI, bad explanations, and no way to really get better except through trial and error which costs a huge chunk of time when you error to try again. I regret ever downloading this game. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
Don't bother playing this game, it's bugged as hell. I played the game once. After closing the game, it's impossible to play again. The game starts up, freezes and closes before I can do anything. Re-installing or updates don't solve the problem. It's been months and the issue hasn't been resolved.
the game crashes on lunch to many times, yeah the game is good for background play but it still crashes
it was great until a bug made everything produce basically nothing. ten pipes gave 0.1 per second conclusion, game was great now is terrible, don't play.
It's a good game in theory, but from the start it's very grindy. If you don't mind boring repetitive grinds form the start, it's good. If they speed up the early game, I'll happily go back to playing it!
The game is good (and the story is nice) But dear Lord, it is very badly optimized I’ve been playing for 14 hours, and I guess about 6 hours were lost because of lag (After a while, I discovered that if you don’t look at the colors, the game runs fine-ish) But I still recommend it, it’s a fun type of idle game :D (Auto-Converge would be nice if it was light insted of White)
the game starts out great with a good pase of progress and you start to get automation but then you get a bit further in and the game changes from an idle game to a bad tower defence style search and destroy with a time limit for allmost no accual progress even worse if you get past that then you now just have to wait opening up the game once a day without making progress to unlock a thing that does the exact same with no upgrades or accual progress towards what the game told you it was
