Pro Strategy Football 2020

I've been searching for a while for a good football game having a career mode with fictional players with the focus on playing the games out manually as a coach calling the plays. There's not a heck of a lt of games like that out there! Some games force you to become a player and control him with a joystick. Other games put you in the general manager chair and you're not calling the games on the field but are more focused on drafts/trades and financials. Pro Strategy hits the spot that I'm after. It has all of the elements that other franchise games have, but is the only one that places the emphasis on the game by game coaching and play calling. As an extra plus, it's not text based like some other games - you get to see the plays visually in charming old-school graphics. Graphics are not state of the art, but I guarantee that you'll jump out of your seat when you see a big play develop on a crucial down in a big game - and that's what counts!

very fun as the arcade tecmo bowl charm but plays as a sports SIM I do recommend the MODs that are available with real teams and players as this game does not come with real teams and players put the game is fun and the MOD community is excellent as well as the game developer very receptive to the communities ideas

Outstanding Football Sim! I only review the Outstanding or the absolute worst. Forget the previous versions, 2020 is a total overhaul. CPU vs CPU Career Play is outstanding. There is now a 2019 NFL League File to start your career, watching the games CPU vs CPU is fantastic with the Tom Landry nostalgic player graphics, editing is possible in almost every aspect of the game. The Developer is very active and listens to feedback, many of my suggestions were implemented. I highly recommend Pro Strategy Football 2020, I also play Madden 20 in Franchise mode, CPU vs CPU and Draft Day Sports Pro Football 2020 CPU vs CPU, Pro Strategy Football 2020 fits in nicely as I am currently running a Career Leagues with all three games. I've been playing PC sports simulations for over 20 years, I only play the best ones and don't compromise on buying or playing half baked PC sport simulations. This game is an NFL simulator, no game is perfect, this game needs a couple of improvements but nothing that prohibits play now or that will not or can not be corrected in the future. Kerry (Developer) has done an outstanding job on bringing back the fun of Tom Landry Football in 2019.

First off let me start off by saying that i love football games that have a real coach mode but this game fall short to me. There is no free agency in the game which is strange to me, a coach has to have free agency. They say that you can create a play but it is now in the game and the playbook they give you is very basic. Now lets talk about the tackling....... there is none. I have called the perfect play on many occasions and i have only gotten 1 qb sack and no matter how you cover the wideout they more than likely will catch the ball for a big gain but when you call the perfect play your guy has butter fingers. The training needs to be better for your whole team over all. I don't mind the 2d graphics but 3d would be better. I think they should give you the choice to give your team a pep talk during half time to give them a boost coming back to the second half if your team is down. They need to let your players attributes go up if they are having a good that week even if you lose. I would not buy this game in it's current state if i was you. Hopefully the developer makes some huge changes

Fun football game where strategy is more important then speed. I like the slow pace.

Until yesterday I never heard of PSF, which is a shame because this is an amazing game! Yes, the graphics look like something from a Nintendo 64, but that actually appeals to me. More importantly, you get a decent football simulator that is extremely easy to mod. There are several seasons available in the community area as well as other custom projects. Each player is rated in several categories. You can create your own plays. You can play exhibition matches, or sim/play through entire seasons with a 32 team league. Each play is simmed out (you do not control the players, but you can select the plays) and stats are kept on an individual and team level. There are more complex and detailed games out there, so if you're looking for the full GM experience this might not be it. However, it's just the right complexity for me - someone who likes calling plays and trying to improve my team, without having to dig into finances or salary caps. I think PSF and I are going to be friends for a long time.

have been playing this since the tom landry days in the 90's produces some astonishingly accurate results. first season (92) that i played as the cowboys went 13-3 and beat the 49ers in overtime to go to the superbowl where i beat the bills. (didn't destroy them like the real cowboys!) a really fun and immersive game.

Great game! and its better than Madden football in many ways. Graphics may not be the best but the potential for what you can do with this game is unlimited. Well worth the money.
