perfect !!! very realistic mechanics and first person feels real ! recommend
PSJ is honestly my favorite equestrian game. The striding feels incredibly natural it actually makes you think and ride. Riding in first person adds so much depth and immersion though the third person camera is great too. Each horse has its own personality and way of moving which makes riding them so rewarding. The variety of courses is amazing, and if you ever want more, you can easily download or design new ones yourself thanks to the workshop and course editor On top of that, the developer is amazing. I had an issue with the game and he personally helped me fix it with so much patience and kindness. You can really tell it was made with a lot of love for both the sport and the players <3
trop de bug le jeu s'arrete d'un seul coups
Very good game! It could only have cross county, then the game would be perfect
Update: 18.07.25 So after having played the game on and off for a while, I decided to change my review. I have just now seen the message to my previous negative review and while I was not in contact with the developer - as of playing today - the stick-drift seems to be fixed. I had the drift prevention on maximum in the settings before, but still had issues. As of playing today however, this seems to be fixed. There is some mild drifting still, but very infrequently and much weaker than before. This makes the game much better to handle/play and I found myself enjoying it, despite (or maybe because of) the challenge. I even think I found my favorite horse. While I am a long way off from any "best list", I just enjoy riding around and seeing with what horse I get the best results. So if you enjoy a bit of a challenge, I think this game is perfect for relaxing and playing a short round after work. ------- Currently cannot recommend. The controls are very wonky. You give the horse a very small cue to turn and it does a 180 despite you not having given that cue. It's like the controls get stuck on a left turn - for example. There are some game options to try and prevent that, but it does not nearly work well enough. Same with navigating and selecting courses. You try and select by zapping through and suddenly the controls just spin out going through courses in lighting speed until you press a random button to hopefully make it stop. This makes the game unnecessarily hard and frustrating. I hope they fix it soon.
Probably the best show jumping game on the market, quite pricey but if you have a higher end PC then worth the purchase! Developer is also very helpful. Before advice from the developer I experienced at lot of lagging and crashing so if you experience that then definitely email the developer.
I sought this game after exhausting myself off Tales of Rein Ravine looking for another similar game. If you’re someone who enjoys the striding mechanic of TORR and will sink hours into it like myself, you’ll probably enjoy this as well. The controls take some getting used to at first, but it won’t be too long before you get the hang of it. Ultimately, I think Tales of Rein Ravine does this better, and it’s free as well. However, if you’re looking for something more technical, want to compete against a leaderboard of high-scores, or are just looking for a new experience, definitely give it a shot! I got this on sale 50% off and would highly recommend waiting for a sale as the game is pretty costly for what you get at full price. I also play on a Steam Deck and the game runs fairly well, except for the occasional crash and the bugged screen on the tutorial.
