So far Pro Basketball manager continued on their good path improving in all places they can , even in one year they done amazing job if we look it we get a very fast game with many improvements and modern look , if u looking for basketball manager this is your safest bet if u wanna try Basketball manager game also , community is very active and always help you, so i can fully reccomend PBM as best basketball manager so far.
This would be the 7th best game I suck at, lining up behind after: - Football Manager (FM) 2024 - FM 2023 - FM 2022 - FM 2021 - FM 2020 - FM 2019 Great work on the finance details, I personally am a big fan of that :)
Amazing, its like you guys took the same code from 2023 and ignored the feed back from that. Same things that were complained about in 2023, you put right back into the game. Which would indicate that you just copied what you did in 2023, didnt keep the alleged updates. Especially the NBA draft problem with prospects. 1) game is glitchy with bugs such as getting stuck on daily screen for expenses, I have to fake leaving the game with control + escape to fake the glitch out. 2) Same old thing with budget, not matter how much money you make from transfer, it doesnt matter. Why? Because budget just resets to the default number it was at the start of the season. 3) Where are the assistant coaches? Coaching in Japan and attempted to look for Asst coaches to hire, zero. Similiar to 2023 problem with lack of youth players filling the roster. 4) Why would you reset the fan percent after winning a championship or Director percentage for that matter. Winning a championship I guess doesnt mean much to fans. So go from 100 to 64? What sense is that making? 5) Still same old problem that was mentioned last year: Your player gets drafted by NBA, forget having release clauses. Dude just jump right over to the team minute they are drafted. Where is the NBA clause at? 6) Does National Team opportunities actually show during seasons? I have yet to see one. I cant wait to see if youth players actually exist in this game. But wow, this company, just dumping out the same game nearly for profit. Applaud you for making a basketball manager game. But jeez, try to fix the game or at least fix code issues from 2023. Edit: I guess I hit the jackpot on a gamebreaking bug. It actually has nothing to do with playing suprisingly. I got curious, because I never saw an offer from national team or option to receive job offer. I also never saw the NBA offer jobs. So I went to make a new career, career_02 to be named. After I picked a team and was about to check national team. I didnt want to be forced to have to start a national team career. So I backed out of the creation option and cancelled. What happens next is bizzare but not really surprised. I went back to my old career and now it says I am free, no job offers and screen is just blanked. Only allows me to continue and nothing else. Like the universe has been blanked. Well, thats it for me. This game is trash and uninstalling at this point.
Update: DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. I have played this game for 32 hours and have yet to have a career that did not end in some glitch that gets me fired. This game has been out for 8 months and the state it is in is truly shocking. There is no depth to the game. The moment you make it through a couple of seasons the game breaks. Players want a million dollars to play on a unknown team, the budgets are a joke. It literally doesn't matter how much money you make because the team takes it all at the end of the year and you still wind up with a shoestring budget. If you land in the red no matter how many championships you win, you automatically get fired. My stats have not progressed at all as a coach after winning multiple championships. The game is truly not ready to leave Alpha and they are charging as much as super refined Indy games. It breaks my heart to see that this game is not good because it has so much potential. I have had my eyes on it since 2019. (I have played 2019 for 5 years now as it is the most refined version of the game thus far) First Impression: I hoped that the comments were wrong. They are not. This game has a shiny cover that will keep you playing past the 2 hour return period only to discover that the systems are completely messed up. There is no degradation as far as the expectation of the pay for players. You will have a 38 year old player expecting to be payed like a player in his prime. The finances of the smaller teams are a joke. Your salary as the coach (or whatever you are because the on court commands are a joke. It takes 3 minutes after you request a time out to get it.) job takes up the entire budget and there is no way to negotiate or take less. Game is a joke in its current form. If you buy this game be sure to be prepared to give a TON of feedback and deal with issues that should have been worked out in the ALPHA. It is astonishing that a company that has made 6 of these games now still cant figure out how to make a reasonable financial system. Very disappointed. The Positive: The video player has gotten a lot better for the on court play. The UI is a little better this year. There are random events now that give positive or negative effects based on your choices (nice touch). Your coach does not start as a 0 overall. You get to chose the kind of coach you want. The filter options for coaches and players is a lot better.
I don't normally do reviews, even when the game is buggy as long as I can continue to play. But this one feels like Early Access. So many bugs, but there's one that's game breaking. I received 2 trades, the same exact contents, from team, to player to offer. I accepted it, but the other email won't go away and I can't proceed. Game keeps asking me to take action with the other email but it's now empty. I like the game, could easily see myself play at least 50 hours but I can't recommend this for me. I hope the developer will fix it and I'll change my reco.
PBM24 is a nice basketball management game, easy to setup and play for the novice basketball fan and with enough depth and complexity for the diehard manager. The developers are present and helpful, and the community release a real name mod at the game launch day. And its amazing how fast the season goes by, even with several leagues loaded. Its several hours worth of fun with plenty of replayability.
I am extremely disappointed in how flawed this game is. Quater simulation is like Russian roulette, you don't know if the game will break or not? I'm definitely not going to hit the simulation game right away, because if you're the best team, you might not even make the playoffs. Buying a player from another club is an absolute waste of money, even a million is not enough to buy a player from the bottom club of the Lithuanian Basketball League, I don't even want to start with 17-18 year olds who ask for 50k euros per month. I'm glad there was a discount when I bought this game, because 25 euros for such an unrealistic and full of crashes game is just too expensive.
This game continues to get better every year. Really enjoyed playing especially with the powerful editor. Looking forward to the next one
The Positive review is a lot about hope. I hope that the devs continue on the path to making this game worth the money. I paid in advance, hoping that in the future I'm going to love this game. Currently the idea is alright and sky is the limit, but it needs a lot of polishing. Be ready to use Mod tools (Editor) to fix things that dont necessarily make sense or work (like team income). I haven't played it for a while now, but will return to it in the future to test the waters again
Not perfect, and still has a ways to go, don't see any massive changes overall year to year due to the small dev team, needs a good few more quality of life improvements for you to get addicted and put 50+ hours into it. Still with all of that, it is easily the best basketball sim on the market, and once all the initial bugs are ironed out, you'll definitely be able to sink hours into a save with this game and get your moneys worth.
