Firstly, would like to say that I got the pleasure to test this out before it released. It started out with a lot of bugs that needed to be worked out before it was playable, but the overall story is pretty neat and every character I have come across, so far, is fully voiced and some of the voices are kind of fun, to be honest. Now that the bugs I ran into have been patched, I'm looking forward to returning to this game and can't wait to see more of what the game has to offer, nya~
Hey there, VA for Sophia here dropping a review! Prismatic overall is pretty enjoyable albeit very short, with a few bugs here and there, most notably the game freezing during boss battles (basically it would just be on "enemy turn" forever and nothing would happen). I'm also quite confused about the story?
The title implies that Prismatic Gems and the Nox Gates are going to play an important part in the plot but after protecting the possums' honey it just kind of... ends? Maybe I'm missing something.
I think a few more updates and fixes could improve the experience a lot!
I've played this game on itch.io before its Steam release. This game is a clear labour of love from a first time developer. The artwork and voice acting is cute. The mechanics are straightforward and there's a fair amount of quirky content. There were some odd bugs and some of the interface choices remain questionable but nothing show stopping. The dev has been very committed to fixing bugs and getting things working for as many people as possible. I'm curious to see their next project.
If you are a fan or enthusiast of older style top down arcade games this game is for you! Not long enough to bore you with one play through; but also not too short due to some of the games quirks that seem challenging enough on normal mode. If you want to play again there is also a hard mode to provide more challenge than you may expect. Fun to grind as well as a couple secrets to discover; so if you are up for the challenge this game is for you.
Nice JRPG lite with some challenging bosses and interesting story Plus fishing update is lit so 8 out of 10👌.
