About
Princess Shall Prevail is a pseudo 8-bit, top-down hack-and-slash game that takes heavy influence from the genre’s third-person contemporaries and a bit of influence from scrolling shoot-em-ups. Like how many players approach the modern hack-and-slash genre, players will be dodging and timing their attacks in this game accordingly. There are also features and mechanics unique to this retro-twist to the genre that make it a game of its own.
Beyond the game’s normal mode of play, a randomizer mode is also available to play for players who want an extra challenge or varied subsequent playthroughs. While playing the game in this mode, the enemies who appear will be randomized so that players will be facing a different set of enemies throughout each playthrough.
Features:
- Battle enemies of varying attack patterns
- Pseudo 8-bit graphics and soundtrack
- A built-in randomizer for varied subsequent playthroughs
- Supports Xbox Series, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 controllers (recommended)

Full playthrough here: https://youtu.be/gfK9P7-PQ9Q Overall really well made game definitely reminds me of old game boy games I love that the creator took time to add enemies to almost every stage. I will say I'm a bit spoiled nowadays with new games and upgrades so I did crave those, but as a homage it plays clean and stays pretty interesting due to new patterns throughout it would be a good game for speed runners too I think. The final boss was a ton of fun as well I did miss the final cutscene most of the retro games had, but still for under a dollar it's definitely worth.
This game and the dev as a whole doesn't nearly get enough credit. I've been binging his games and this is just another absolute banger. It really reminds me of NES games I used to play all the time, and sometimes go back to. Music is great, artstyle is simple but effective, gameplay feels as good as ever and I love how fighting feels.
dope game, love iframes
I'm a huge fan of this developer's games and this is one of the best. Snappy gameplay and great soundtrack, like with almost all Blaze Epic games I wish it was juuust a little tad longer. Some titles end right when I'm getting into the groove, sort of speak. Anyway, solid recommend.
from some of the acheivements i assume they expected this to be difficult but im killing it
