I enjoyed it. The platforming feels good (as is the case with most of the developer's games). This one is slightly dreamlike and surreal--when you backtrack through the same areas, the room layouts are different than they were. The combat is not very interesting, but it's not a major part of the game.
Coming to this from Hinedere Beat, and especially my beloved version 1.4, it's hard not to mourn this game's complete and utter lack of plot, characterization, worldbuilding...anything in the "narrative" department at all, really. But, ultimately, you (generally) don't play a platformer for the story, and this game's mechanics are as fun as they've always been, so I would still recommend it.
Kunoichi Beat is a great way to throw some change at Blaze Epic. It's a cohesive visual joy of an 8-bit universe, with 2D parkour platforming and unique lo-fi instrumentals.
