Simple but still fun. My weird-ass recommendation for playing it is to move with a joystick and aim with a mouse, but maybe i'm just insane.

Primitive Shooter is a tightly focused indie action game that embraces simplicity and immediacy as its core strengths. Developed by Primitive Studio and published by Conglomerate 5, it delivers a no-nonsense shooting experience built around reflexes, positioning, and repetition-driven mastery rather than narrative ambition or mechanical complexity. From the very first moments, the game makes its intentions clear: this is a score-driven, arcade-style shooter designed to be easy to understand, quick to start, and satisfying in short, intense bursts of play. The visual presentation is deliberately minimalist, drawing inspiration from retro shooters without directly imitating any one classic. Clean shapes, readable enemy designs, and uncluttered arenas ensure that the action is always clear, even when the screen fills with incoming threats. This stripped-down aesthetic isn’t a limitation so much as a conscious design choice, allowing players to focus entirely on movement and shooting without visual noise getting in the way. The accompanying sound design reinforces this clarity, with sharp weapon effects and energetic music that keep momentum high and tension constant throughout each run. Gameplay in Primitive Shooter revolves around surviving increasingly challenging waves of enemies while making smart use of weapon pickups scattered throughout the arena. Movement is responsive and fluid, encouraging constant repositioning as enemies close in from multiple directions. Weapons provide noticeable changes in how encounters play out, offering brief moments of power that reward aggressive play and good timing. While the arsenal isn’t expansive, each weapon feels impactful enough to alter pacing and strategy, giving players a reason to stay alert and adapt as conditions shift. Progression is structured around endurance and performance rather than long-term upgrades or unlock trees. Each run becomes a test of how well the player can read enemy patterns, manage space, and maximize damage output under pressure. This design places emphasis on personal improvement rather than character progression, making success feel earned through skill rather than accumulation. It also means the game is highly replayable for players who enjoy chasing higher scores or longer survival times, even if the underlying mechanics remain constant. Level structure introduces variation through pacing and enemy behavior rather than environmental complexity. As waves advance, enemies become faster, more aggressive, or more numerous, steadily raising the difficulty without drastically changing the rules of play. This gradual escalation keeps tension high and creates a satisfying sense of flow, though it can also lead to repetition for players seeking evolving mechanics or dramatic shifts in gameplay. The experience thrives on consistency, and whether that consistency feels focused or limiting largely depends on player expectations. Primitive Shooter does not attempt to tell a story or build a world beyond its immediate gameplay context. There are no characters, lore segments, or cinematic framing devices to guide the experience. Instead, it relies entirely on the intrinsic appeal of action and mastery. For some players, this purity is exactly what makes the game appealing, offering a distraction-free shooter that respects their time. For others, the lack of broader context or long-term goals may reduce motivation after extended play. Overall, Primitive Shooter succeeds by committing fully to its minimalist philosophy. It delivers fast, responsive shooting wrapped in a clean presentation that makes it ideal for short sessions or repeated score-chasing runs. While it lacks depth in systems, narrative, or variety, it compensates with tight controls and a satisfying gameplay loop that rewards practice and focus. For players who enjoy straightforward arcade shooters and value gameplay purity over complexity, Primitive Shooter offers a solid, engaging experience that knows exactly what it wants to be. Rating: 7/10

Cool game for aim-practicing but: -disable enemies to spawn on the player -give endless mode where you cannot die but you see the demage taken like: "You have taken 50 healt points", but don't kill the palyer -shotguns shells are not shotguns: double barrel shotgun doesn't waste 3 ammo, it fires 1 shell with 3 ammo which is irrelevant -maps are random it should be easy --> hard, but the second map is easier then the first -(if you want) fix the infinate score glitch I would give it a dislike but I want this game to grow because I see really big potential in it.
this game is a very basic game that could use some tweaking, I'm not sure how active development is, but I think there could be a few tweaks to make it a complete 10/10 time waster/warm up game. firstly, the spawning is very frustrating at times. it is not uncommon for an enemy to spawn right on top of you and kill you instantly before you get a chance to react, I think having an adjacent square safe zone would be good. secondly, there is a point where the enemies gain health, and this point is not indicated in any way. I think color coding the beans or adding helmets or armor would be very helpful. lastly, the beginning of each round is very repetitive and boring, and makes dying to a random spawn on top of you even more frustrating. making a hard game is good, but dying to cheap spawning mechanics is just angering, especially because you have to fight through 5-10 minutes of bots that are way too easy. the first few levels are good as a tutorial, but i dont need to learn the mechanics everytime I die. if these things were fixed i think this could be a very good timewaster and high scoring game. I also think there are a few things that could be added to make it better. I get that the game is supposed to be "primative" but I think it could really benefit from some more fleshed out level design, and a few different modes. I think an endless hoard type mode would benefit the game greatly. as of right now, game is 7/10 with the potential to be a 10/10
