About
Co-op horror. Four players - 3v1. In 'Paws Coven', three players take on the role of occult cats. They must collect dark mana, tear off the wallpaper, summon monsters from other worlds, and perform rituals. They are opposed by one human who, among the many cats on the map, must identify the three impostors and catch each of them before they can perform 5 rituals or drain him of his sanity.
Does this foolish human really think that HE is your owner? The only master you serve is your ancient feline God who will soon return to this world to rule once again. And you are the tool that shall fulfill His will.
Act when no one is watching. Collect enough mana to complete all the rituals. And if this pathetic human causes you any trouble... Come together and summon eldritch familiars from other worlds to hunt him down. And enjoy the screams of your victim as he he faces the lurking monsters suddenly attacking him.

Playing as the human... You start seeing things that are not there. Your own mind tricks you. Time is against you. Can you catch all the impostors before they complete the rituals or drain you of your sanity? Buy items from the shop. Drink whiskey to restore sanity. Use valerian as a trap. Upgrade your character. Do whatever you can to stop these damn cats!

we played with friends i no longer have friends the game good tho
Paws Coven is an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game that takes a bizarre concept and fully commits to it in a way that becomes both hilarious and surprisingly tense. Developed and published by Wintercrow Games, the game revolves around a supernatural cult made entirely of cats attempting to summon eldritch horrors while a lone human tries to uncover the conspiracy before reality completely collapses. What initially sounds like a joke quickly turns into a genuinely entertaining multiplayer experience built around deception, paranoia, stealth, and chaotic psychological horror. Rather than trying to imitate more serious asymmetrical horror games directly, Paws Coven embraces absurdity while still maintaining enough tension and strategy to keep matches exciting. The gameplay follows a 3v1 structure where three players secretly control cultist cats and one player takes the role of the human homeowner trapped inside the increasingly cursed environment. The cats must gather dark energy, sabotage the house, perform rituals, and eventually summon horrifying creatures capable of overwhelming the human. Meanwhile, the human player must carefully observe cat behavior, investigate suspicious events, and identify which seemingly harmless pets are actually part of the supernatural conspiracy. This setup creates a constant atmosphere of uncertainty because every cat initially looks innocent until strange events begin escalating around the house. One of the game’s strongest features is how effectively it uses deception as its core mechanic. The cultist cats are not meant to openly attack the human immediately. Instead, they spend much of the match pretending to behave normally while secretly progressing rituals behind the scenes. Watching cats casually wander through the house before suddenly destroying objects, summoning monsters, or performing occult ceremonies creates a bizarre mixture of comedy and suspense that gives the game a very distinct personality. The human player constantly feels pressured to monitor subtle details and suspicious movements while slowly losing control of the situation. The sanity system adds another layer of tension that helps elevate the gameplay beyond simple social deduction. As supernatural events intensify, the human player’s sanity begins deteriorating, causing hallucinations, visual distortions, and psychological instability. The environment itself gradually becomes more threatening and surreal as rituals progress. This mechanic works especially well because it reinforces the feeling that the human is slowly losing control while the cats become more powerful. Even when nothing directly dangerous is happening, the growing sense of paranoia keeps matches tense. The pacing of matches is another major strength. Early portions of games tend to focus heavily on stealth, investigation, and subtle sabotage, but later stages often descend into complete chaos once eldritch creatures begin appearing and reality starts collapsing around the players. This escalation creates a satisfying rhythm where matches constantly evolve rather than remaining stuck in a single gameplay style. The shift from suspicious observation to outright supernatural horror helps keep rounds exciting and unpredictable. One of the most entertaining aspects of Paws Coven is how naturally it creates memorable multiplayer moments. The social deception mechanics frequently lead to hilarious misunderstandings and panic-driven accusations. Human players may become paranoid and punish innocent cats while the actual cultists quietly continue rituals nearby. Meanwhile, the cat players must coordinate carefully without exposing themselves too early. The unpredictable interaction between players becomes the real source of entertainment, especially when matches spiral into complete supernatural disaster during the final stages. Visually, the game adopts a stylized presentation that balances cute and disturbing aesthetics surprisingly well. The suburban environments initially appear fairly normal, but supernatural corruption slowly spreads across the map as rituals continue. The contrast between adorable cats and grotesque eldritch monsters gives the game a strange visual identity that stands out strongly from more traditional horror titles. Lighting effects, environmental changes, and visual distortions caused by sanity loss all contribute heavily to the atmosphere. The sound design is also effective at maintaining tension. Quiet environmental audio and subtle cat noises create unease during slower investigative moments, while distorted sounds, monster effects, and increasingly chaotic music intensify the later stages of matches. The game understands when to feel genuinely unsettling and when to lean into absurd humor, which helps keep the overall experience fresh rather than repetitive. Another positive aspect is the accessibility of the gameplay systems. The core objectives are simple enough for new players to understand quickly. Cats gather energy and complete rituals while the human investigates and attempts to stop them. This straightforward structure allows the more interesting psychological and social mechanics to naturally emerge through player interaction rather than complicated rules or tutorials. However, Paws Coven still has several noticeable weaknesses. The biggest issue is the current lack of content variety. While the core gameplay concept is strong, matches can begin feeling repetitive after extended sessions because there are limited maps, ritual objectives, and creature variations available. Once players become familiar with optimal strategies and common behavior patterns, some of the unpredictability begins fading. The game would benefit significantly from additional environments, more cult abilities, alternate objectives, and larger gameplay modifiers to keep long-term sessions feeling fresh. Balance can also feel inconsistent depending on player experience. Coordinated cat teams can overwhelm inexperienced human players fairly quickly, while highly observant humans can sometimes identify cultists before the game fully develops. Since much of the gameplay relies on deception and player psychology, the quality of matches depends heavily on how experienced and engaged the players are. Technical polish is another somewhat rough area. Minor bugs, awkward animations, and occasional networking problems can interrupt matches during critical moments. While none of these issues completely ruin the experience, they reinforce the feeling that the game still needs additional refinement. Some interface elements also feel underdeveloped compared to larger multiplayer horror games. The long-term success of the game may also depend heavily on maintaining an active player base. Asymmetrical multiplayer games rely strongly on healthy matchmaking communities, and smaller indie releases sometimes struggle to sustain player populations over time. The core gameplay is entertaining enough to build a dedicated audience, but continued support and updates will likely be necessary to keep the experience alive long term. For players who enjoy multiplayer horror games, deception-focused gameplay, or unusual indie concepts with strong personality, Paws Coven offers a chaotic and highly entertaining experience. It may still need more content and technical polish to fully reach its potential, but its originality, unpredictable matches, and bizarre supernatural atmosphere already make it one of the more memorable indie multiplayer horror games released recently. Rating: 8/10
AMAZING as a game!!! But giving the fact that its a new one, it needs some help with the lags and also it would be nice to add the possibility of being 2 humans and more cats.
game for cat lovers where is dog
It's not good. The gameplay and back and forth between the hunter/cats is bad and confusing for both sides. The models are uninspired and ugly. The sound design is ALL over the place, things that should make distinct sounds don't (like starting the ritual). Idk it seems like just an all around bad spinoff of prop hunt.
