Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 24 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Joguinho divertido demais!
not enough to keep my attention. i keep dying every 100 feet or so, and the game mechanic isnt good enough to make me want to tank the deaths and git good.

Fun Metroidvania. I love dinos and aliens, so it was nice to see them together. Things I liked: The crafting mechanic was nice and not as annoying as I expected it would be. The mobility is very fun. Very little hand-holding—I’m a big fan of when games give you a vague objective and then let you loose (within reason, of course). Enemy variety is nice, though the aliens only really have two types and then a boss for most of the game. And finally, the pixel art was very nice. Things I didn’t quite like: There wasn’t an ankylosaurus… yeah, might as well give it a negative review, right? JK. The game feels like it’s over after you save your daughter. I would have liked a status message or objective tag something along the lines of “take the fight to them” after saving her. This would be the “within reason” I mentioned earlier. I didn’t get my character to max level even though I used all the spiritual trees and cave paintings. I don’t know if the game expects you to fight more, but given that I 100%ed it, I would have expected to be max level. Finally, the alien moon was not as big as I would have liked. Overall, it’s a fun little game and I would play it again! I'm excited to see what this dev team has coming next!
I like this game but i wont recommend it because of one thing which is an indicator that i've completed an area 100% the Map is huge but you can look at the world map to have an idea where to go but the game falls flat because of the Alien Tech Resources you have to collect. There's no Indicator as to where they are on the map so you have to be searching every nook and cranny for Alien Tech Resources that may or may not be in an area and once you've collected them there's nothing to indicate that the area is 100% cleared. Which cause me to search the WHOLE WORLD MAP TWICE!!!! LOOK HOW MANY HOURS I SPENT ON THIS GAME!!!! sigh* to find the missing Alien Tech Resources to open the portal to the Final Boss. If you're still interested in playing the game then here are two tips to cut down time spent in this game by 80% 1st use your skill Points to get Double Jump and save up enough skill points to learn "FireStarter" (from a hut at the village) don't go pass the huts at the village, if you do cutscene will happen where the village gets burnt down you don't want that at all, instead focus unlocking as much skills etc from huts. You can also ride the dolphins by press Up next to them (you wont need air if you do) KILL ALL ENEMIES REQUIRE AMOUNT OF TIMES as soon as you spot them to avoid having to backtrack to kill them later if you're looking to get the 100%. This would make life easy because you'll be able to explore ever part of the Map without the need to backtrack
Conclusion
Primal Planet is a really weird dinosaur metroidvania about a caveman getting his kid back with the help of his pet dino. Beat it and 100%ed achievements in 11 hours using a game controller. Difficulty is Medium, but can be brutal in the beginning. Story - Dinos vs Aliens Vs Really Big Mosquitos, and you're just a dude with occasional food poisoning and a spear. The story was loose through most of it, but I'm glad the creator added more at the end to make it extra weird. Graphics - Pixels. Reminds me of Kingdom: Two Crowns. Music - Tribal and some tracks played louder than others during my playthrough. Really really grew on me throughout. Bought it at full price (6$). It's now stuck in my head forever. Gameplay - Took a little to get use to the controls, especially filtering through and using items with the shoulder buttons in the thick of a battle. Kept knee-jerk confusing 'use item' and 'stab spear' for some reason, or throwing torch instead of waving it. Took me half the game to realize there were two maps. In the early-game, the dinos and other beasts hit really hard and when you die, you go back to the last camp with one health. Sometimes that can put you in a real pickle, especially with that allosaurus battle. When you get stuck like this, it's better to explore elsewhere, gather resources, cook meat, and build your skill points up to improve yourself. Once you Get Gud, or at least get enough health on you and Dino, you'll be flying through the map in no time. Portals - The portals are spaced out around the map to get you to places quicker, but do they really? I had a hard time remembering what portals went where and it soon became easier to just run across each section instead of use them. Wish portals gave you a choice on which to come out of, at least in late game. Achievements - Completely doable in one playthrough. Be warned that finding Mette is not as mind-numbingly tedious and difficult as some of the guides lead you to believe. You just
Have to find all the secret areas and Mette will randomly appear around the last one
. I spent a while following the guide around Late-Game for the one achievement and it wasted my time because I didn't have to. Summary - Gotta be honest here, I had a royally hard time getting into Primal Planet. And I freaking love dinosaur games. It's lacking something in the first hour that keeps you engaged and gives you more of a reason to care. The wildlife is too unfriendly, you'll die for dumb reasons, everywhere looks the same, and - even after bigger events start - you'll hit a pretty significant cliff because of one big dino standing in your way. But once you just play the game to enjoy all the little things, explore around, bulk yourself and your little friend up a little, and get past that hurdle, you'll find Primal Planet is a genuinely, amazingly good game all around. I had an extremely fun time playing and really hope the game is expanded upon or the developer makes more like it :D
An amazing metroidvania game that is worth the price! The story is is told via visuals instead of dialogue and it can be pretty fast paced. Can be challenging, but not a Souls-like. Soundtrack is AMAZING and this game MUST be played with headphones on!
Excellent little game with great atmosphere (both visual and audio). Would like to see it on Steam Workshop to expand content and story.
I just started the game I'm not feeling it right away but I give it more of a chance. I think I would have preferred 16 bit graphics over the 8 bit graphics. Maybe a Way to switch between the two to accommodate everybody.
nice art, good gameplay, cool story
