i am the first person to play the game plus the game is kinda fun too
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my gameplay & initial impressions here: https://youtu.be/CU_GC8Wptmo This is not a positive review, consider it neutral. I just didn't think it would be fair to give a negative review given that I only played the game for a little over an hour and there seems like there might be more to the game than I experienced. However, I will say that my initial impressions were not positive at all and my motivation to keep playing the game is very low. When I think of good survival games in VR, I think of The Forest, Green Hell, Subnautica, No Man's Sky or Song in the Smoke (only played a little on Viveport). This game doesn't come close to the quality of any of those games. I think the price point is too high for what this game has to offer. It honestly looks like a Quest game ported to PCVR, but since even Green Hell or Song in the Smoke are much better on Quest stand-alone, I just don't see how this game competes with any of those titles, especially on PCVR. The game is just underwhelming visually. It looks so much worse than any of the VR survival games I mentioned. The game mechanics are also behind those other games from what I experienced. Admittedly, I didn't get very far so it possible this game gets much better later on ... maybe. Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting steady 90 fps. However, I did notice pop-in which just shouldn't happen on a game with this low of visual fidelity. You do have full locomotion, along with smooth or snap turning. You can play seated or standing. You have button crouch & jumping. You can also play the free demo here if you want to check it out for yourself. You can watch my video if it helps. You could also just buy Green Hell for $24.99 normally or right now it is 40% off at $14.99 USD. Live or die, Make your choice. Rate ?/10. I wish we could give sideways recommendations on Steam.
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program. If I'm being 100% truthful I waited all month for this game to come out and I finally got it today but tbh I thought that when it fully came out there would be more to it than what was in the Demo and I'm sad to say it's a little boring there could be so much more done to the game but sadly rn I don't like it and not only that but the shields don't really work to well if it gets better I may reconsider but rn don't buy it.
PremortalVR is a survival game similar to Valheim. You create your character and a world and than it's just you and the your will to survive. You craft tools by combining sticks with stones for example. And after you built a crafting table you get access to more recepies. You can tan leather to sew your leather armor and you make handles for your new tools. You hunt animals for food that gives you a boost to your HP and Stamina. There are bosses in the game that you can challenge and after their defeat you'll get new recipies as well. The crafting is intuitive and rewarding. The progression is well paced and doesn't feel rushed, or slowed down. You can progress at your own pace. If you don't want to fight, you can just collect resources and build a base.
Premortal VR is a free to play VR survival game. It worked on my Index and HTC Vive and Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Was hard. Has instructions. Has full locomotion, with smooth or snap turning. You can play seated or standing. You have button crouch and jumping. At one time this game was paid product, now it is free to play. Was a Quest game, but now it runs on Index also. Has crafting. Maybe try this free game, you might like it.
A must have game build hunt mine smith cook eat stacking items in your backpack the day becomes night of darkness so lite your flame torch to see and ascend to sleeping dragon beware the dragon may not be asleep forever and soon raiding others players worlds or stay and protect your world in multiplayer a game with lots more to be added I'm sure and the developers are open to ideas and make your ideas become reality in their vr game
please continue updating i see great potential for this game i may only have 6.1 hours but this game is amazing!
