Precipice

I really wish there was a 'neutral' review on Steam. Precipice is essentially a boardgame with multiple dice rolls per turn, however the damning issue is that there is little to no way to mitigate these rolls. A run of slightly worse-than-average luck can undo whole turns of good work, making progress a frustrating chore. Potentially this could have been the new Balance of Power, but without cards or other powers to mitigate the rolls, it's essentially an exercise in good or bad luck. You might think that that sums up the Cold War in entirety, but for a game based on espionage, the perfectly accurate probabilities are a deep frustration. Could be a real gem with more work put into it, but for now I'd suggest getting it only on a deep, deep sale.

Amazing game, and very fun. The only problem this game has is that you can't play online due to a lack of players. There are literally not people online to play this two player game.
