Und obwohl das Game von 2022 ist, wird hier kein Zugeständnis an moderne Annehmlichkeiten (grafisch) gemacht. Alles könnte so auch auf einem alten Arcade-Automaten laufen. Manche Waffensysteme können feindliche Geschosse sogar zerstören! Cool! Das geschickte und taktische Auswählen der richtigen Waffen trägt extrem zum Spielspaß bei. In Japan belegte es eeewig die Top 10 Liste der meistbespielten Automaten. Folgerichtig folgte in Folge auch Folgendes: eine NeoGeo-Umsetzung. Diese Konsole kostete damals ca. 1.200,- DM (ein Schnäppchen, wenn man bedenkt dass der Sega Mega Drive für in etwa 300,- DM zu haben war) und die Spielemodule kosteten auch nur ungefähr 300,- DM 🙈🤓 Joa, wen wunderts das NICHT jeder Haushalt einen NeoGeo sein Eigen nannte. So habe ich den Klassiker nur auf diversen Emulatoren spielen können. *Räusper* Und ihn sehr schätzen gelernt. Schön, dass es nun einen originalen zweiten Teil des Klassikers gibt. Retro style horizontal shoot 'em up which is a sequel released 30 years after the 1992 Neo-Geo original. Doesn't matter it's a sequel since there's no story whatsoever. Seems the minimum was done for the PC port. You even have to press Enter to go full screen each time you start. Nice and colorful pixel art faithful to the style of the 90s. Good soundtrack where I wish there were sound settings to put it louder compared to the sound effects. Controls a bit stiffly because it seems made for d-pad; it's not gradual analog movement. Each boss is challenging with several really different attacks. You have to keep on your toes. I was surprised at the one-hit deaths, and it needed getting used to. I liked the stage select which permitted me to finish the game. Leaderboards were barebones and local only, no world or friends' scores. Way too expensive at regular price for around a one-hour playthrough. Get on deep sale.

[h1] Genre [/h1] Ein Vertikal Shoot Ém Up [h1] Gameplay [/h1] Es ist ein ganz klassisches Shoot Em Up. Es ist ein Nachfolger eines Neo Geo Klassikers aus dem Jahre 1992. Genre üblich fliegen wir durch die Gegend und weichen allerhand Kugelhagel & Hindernisseen aus. Wir zerballern dabei mit Dauerfeuer Feindliche Schiffe & anderes Zeug was uns entgegen kommt. Es gibt insgesamt 10 Stages und jede hat am Ende einen Boss Kampf. Die Boss Kämpfe sind sehr cool gemacht und haben mir sehr gut gefallen. Bewaffnet sind wir übrigens nicht nur mit einer Waffe, sondern gleich mit 4 und man kann nach jeder Abgeschloßenen Stage, je nach Punkte die wir gemacht haben seine Waffen mehrfach upgraden, was sehr cool gemacht ist. Die Steuerung mit Controller ist richtig gut, so wie es in einem Shmup sein muss. Die Musik ist auch gut gelungen [h1] Pro/Contra [/h1] + Nette Grafik + Gutes Gameplay + Gute Steuerung + Nette Boss Kämpfe + 4 Waffen die man mehrfach upgraden kann + XBox 360 Controller Support +/- Leider keine Achievements [h1] Fazit [/h1] Ein sehr nett gemachtes Shoot Ém Up. Ich kenne zwar den Vorgänger von damals nicht aber ich hätte es, wenn ich es damals gespielt hätte, richtig gut gefunden. Die Steuerung ist super gelungen und die Boss Kämpfe machen Spaß. Der preis ist etwas Hoch aber das ist bei Shmups ja an sich nichts Verwunderliches, denn die sind oftmals nicht gerade moderat im Preis. No save file. It doesn't save your high score, settings, level select or anything, so every time you turn it on it's like you never bought it. MAJOR reason for thumbs down. Also coop would be nice but seems like they did the cheap/easy/lazy way out. Try Caladrius Blaze or DeathSmiles if you want Schmup with lots to do and not boring space shooter

Fair, motivating and simply a must-have if you are a fan of Shmups. The OST is also pretty solid with some hidden gems like "Battleship" (This one is a Banger!).

Fantastic Shmup, I've purchased this game multiple times now, from the 3ds to Switch, now PC. Its a super solid shmup, I pick up and play a couple rounds almost any time I want a quick dopamine rush. I know its based on the old Neo Geo game, but honestly I feel like this game plays more like a suped-up Turbografx shmup. Highly recommended, no gimmicky mechanics to mar the experience, this just feels like a 90s sequel we never got until now. Pairs well with Earthion for maximum shmupness.
