Power Tester

A basic test simulation with incredibly random questions. I found it quite funny that I was told "Obviously, you know this topic quite well." upon completion of a test labelled 'Truth or Fiction' with a score of only 57% correct. Which itself contained a myriad of completely bizarre random questions containing no correlation to any specific subject. I decided to play through another test labelled 'Animals' to which I was given questions ranging from relatively easy common knowledge to things only a zoologist would know the answer to. I can't say I enjoyed my short play through very much but for what it's worth, it does what it says on the box as some might say and it does have some saving grace with being able to craft your own test for friends to play through. Overall, it's not something I'd personally play when trying to unwind after work but I suppose it's what it says it is, a Brain Test and being able to create and share your own tests is pretty cool so I'll give it a thumbs up. If I could make a suggestion though, it would be to add achievements and personally, I'd advise lowering the price from £2.89 to something more reasonable like £0.79.

This is a tool for creating and taking tests. The foundations are solid but the interface lacks any polish. It can create tests in English, Russian, Ukrainian and Polish, with internal tools letting you create a translated version of your own test. At your disposal, there are four types of questions (multiple-choice, ordering, matching and short-answer) and an unlimited number of answer options. Each created test functions as a question bank, with a random subset of the questions being selected every time you take the test. To edit a test, you need to select it and create a new test. After confirming, the new test will be a duplicate of the selected one. I couldn't find a way to reorder questions in the question bank or to view more than one at the same time. Default questions are not very good, constantly falling into pitfalls like having similar numerical options and being either too easy or nearly impossible to guess, but they deliver what they promise. The context of some questions is heavily tied to Ukraine, making those harder for international audiences. After selecting an answer, you have to confirm your selection and manually change to the next question. Ordering a sequence is slow at best, with the controls being unresponsive and the boxes snapping to the wrong place repeatedly. These controls, combined with the lack of a high score system, severely hurts replayability. It suffers from technical issues: on my PC, the test selection screen flickers while in full screen and the game crashed out of nowhere more than once. The English translation is clunky, with the manual and the tool using different names for the same function. The "Add an answer" text of all question types but multiple-choice/"variants" is untranslated. Even after reading the manual, I have no idea of which button copies a question and which button pastes it, they look very similar. This game might turn out well but what we currently have is not worth it. Brain Test purports to be a "brain trainer" but it's really just a simple browser/flash tier quiz game. The quality of the questions is mediocre, they were made by a non-native English speaker, so the translation is a little rough from time to time. You can play these free on the web if you like, so it's impossible to suggest someone should pay money for this on Steam.

Програма то не непогана, дивно що так мало рецензій. Коротше кажучи можу виокремити таке. Переваги: 1. Простий і зрозумілий інтерфейс. Часто в подібних вікторинах він перевантажений купою анімацій, які забирають час і які не можна виключити. 2. Самі тести цікаві, були питання, які викликали посмішку, а були такі що змусили задуматися. 3. Не знаю як справи з польською, але англійський переклад нормальний, після проходження тестів однією мовою цікаво їх пройти іншою. 4. Хочеться виокремити конструктор за саму можливість створення тестів, проте як ними толком обмінюватися? Тобто чи можна перенести створені тести з одного комп'ютеру на інший, чи вони лише локально розміщені? Питання до розробників чи можна це якось простіше реалізувати? А так… шкодую що в нас в університеті тести ішли через якусь баговану фігню, а не через таку прогу. Окремо від мінусів і плюсів хочу виділити кількість тестів. Їх не багато і не мало. Проте в обновах виходять нові і нові тести, а сам факт, що виходять стабільно оновлення це однозначно великий плюс. Хоча... чесно, для любителів засісти в серйоз і на довго, а не лише просто поверхнево із інтересу, тестів буде об'єктивно мало на даній версії, актуальній на 12-те березня 2021 року. Недоліки: 1. Коли ти невірно відповідаєш тобі не пояснюють в чому саме помилка, сам ідеш в гугл. Знайти потім інформацію просто, але хотілося б інтегрувати це в програму. 2. Конструктор дає шалені можливості, але чомусь у тестах від розробників використовуються лише тип "оберіть один варіант". Хоча... я вагаюся чи є це мінусом, бо з іншої сторони — підтримується стиль. Як висновок можу сказати що повністю рекомендую гру, особливо по знижці придбати гарна справа, сам брав по знижці. Зараз такого контенту стали випускати дуже мало, а про подібний контент конкретно на Стімі я взагалі промочу — нема про що говорити.

This game implements an unusual idea of ​​transferring school tests to the game format. Pros: - A large number of different tests is supplied with the game; - Ability to create your own test suites on a different languages; - Hotkeys to quickly navigate between screens and questions; - Ability to change the background of the game (there is a black theme, but you cannot put your own picture). Cons: - You can not share created by you tests via Steam Workshop; - In some places unintuitive UI/UX: there is no way to view the list of hotkeys and reassign them, on the Manual page there is no button to return to the main menu, you cannot select an answer by double clicking the mouse, etc.; - There is no Linux/MacOS versions of game and I idk why, the game is so small and for geeks; - It is impossible to cancel the selected answer (although perhaps it possible, but I did not found how).
