POSTAL: Brain Damaged

Heh. Postal. I never thought that I would play a game where I can use my own wang as a weapon, and it is actually a crucial part of the game to 'piss'. A flying, obese beanie man pulled a cheeseburger out of his crotch to throw at me, and I grappled to his nuts and shot him with a shotgun that uses coke and pepsi cans for the chamber. Then a guy with a trumpet coming out his ass shot projectiles at me. I asked myself a couple of questions and the first was 'what in the hell kind of game is this??' it was weird, I had no clue what the hell was going on, but the more I played it the more I liked it. I even played some of it on Steam Deck. This game is like your classic boomer shooter, but with polish and elements of platforming thrown in. The enemies are hilarious, the game challenging if you play it on the harder difficulty levels- and the levels of gore are enough to fill up dozens of vats. It's all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great. And the cherry on top is the main character Dude's deadpan delivery of one liners. I can't remember how many weapons you have access to in this game- it's probably a dozen or more. Some of them are just outrageous. A bow and arrow that shoots dildo arrows, a time stopping nail gun rifle, a TV handgun, and my personal favorite- the cat launching vacuum. Man, did I have a couple of laughs with that one, and recollections of adam west in the TV show Family Guy using something similar, but as a crossbow. And a cat named Paul. There are items through the levels that you can use. Ammo replenishment, cerveza to turn your piss stream into an inferno, crack pipe health potions, that kind of innocent sounding stuff. Like boomer shooters before it, you have to find keys to unlock new areas in order to finish the level. There isn't really anything else to the game's mechanics that I didn't already explain, the game simply does everything well, and in it's own, eclectic and bizarre way. I'd give it a 10/10 if I gave such numbers simply for the cat launching vacuum. And being called a 'filthy liberal' by Yosemite Sam enemies with their pants tucked up to their noses and huge moustaches. This game is worth picking up at full price, which these days is around $20 dollars. You're getting a bit more than $20 in my opinion. But if you do what you're supposed to do and buy it during one of Steam's major sales- like Summer, Winter and Spring sales you can get it anywhere from $5 to $8 US. It's absolutely worth it. I plan on getting the DLC that released as soon as it goes on sale, though I am sure it's worth the $6.
