Great take on Postal Formula
This game is kinda wild in the best way. The graphics are super pixelated and retro, like it’s straight up trying to channel old-school POSTAL vibes, and it actually works really well. Fits the whole chaotic fever-dream aesthetic perfectly. Soundtrack? yeah, it slaps. It’s got that chaotic rock energy you’d expect, mixed with some surprisingly fitting instrumentals. Feels like it was made specifically for Postal Dude going on another unhinged rampage. Everything else—the characters, weapons, themes—feels very “pure postal.” The humor can feel a bit dated and maybe not as edgy as older entries, but it still lands more often than not. Definitely got a few laughs out of me. Gameplay is where things switch up a lot. It’s basically a boomer shooter with heavy Doom Eternal vibes, and it doesn’t even try to hide it. Honestly? that’s a good thing. If you like modern Doom-style fast-paced chaos, you’ll feel right at home here. Story-wise… yeah, it’s POSTAL lol. Don’t expect anything deep. But the idea of running around inside Postal Dude’s messed-up mind is actually kinda cool. There’s some subtle environmental storytelling if you look for it, hinting at his past and how warped his view of the world is. Or maybe I’m overthinking it 🤷♂️ Either way, the 2D cutscenes are fun and add some charm. Now the bad: it’s still kinda buggy. Random crashes, enemies glitching out, stuff clipping through the map—it happens. Not game-breaking most of the time, but noticeable enough to remind you this ain’t a super polished experience. Overall tho? It’s a proper POSTAL game through and through—edgy humor, chaos everywhere, but now wrapped in a fast-paced shooter package. If you like POSTAL or Doom, you’ll probably enjoy it. If you like both, yeah… this is a no-brainer.
