Port Royale 3

I am aware that I have few few hours on steam here, but on ps3, I played this game for hundreds of hours. It is the best in the series, and occupied countless afternoons of my childhood. It introduced 10 year old me to economics as a subject, and will always hold a huge place in my heart. I highly recommend.

Port Royale 3 would be an enjoyable game if it weren't for the game stability issues. Frequent occurences of experiencing loading screens that almost never end. Sometimes after 10+ minutes the loading screen will pass but then the game will crash/freeze anyway.

The same game as PR2, Patrician, etc., which is to say buy whichever is cheapest and let that be the one that disappoints you. Don't tab out of the game or it will become unrecoverable.

The best of the Port Royale Franchise and arguable the best pirate / trader ever made. The graphics wont wow you, and sacking of towns is underwhelming, the gameplay is repetitive... And yet it is more fun than 90% of games created post 2000.

研究了一下，如果遇到打开游戏黑屏，比较稳定能进游戏的方法是打开WindowsXP兼容模式。 进游戏后加载界面音量非常大，指南区有改小加载界面视频音量的方法，在此分享我的解决方案：在音量合成器把游戏进程的声音调小即可。应该不需要担心游戏其他音量过小，我第一次进游戏时在游戏内把总音量调到10%左右才觉得合适。 补充：我错了，这游戏重进会重置音量的，我的耳朵啊 至于汉化补丁，之前一位大佬在steam评论分享的补丁网址失效了，我找到一个3dm的，网址如下：https://dl.3dmgame.com/patch/30195.html 以及若全屏时切到其他应用切回来黑屏，可以尝试把游戏内分辨率、帧率设置调成显示器同样的，或者直接换成窗口化。（我个人是直接窗口化，因为我是4k屏，游戏里全屏最高1920x1080...） 补充：字幕太小了，不知道能不能调hud大小，还是全屏玩吧 游戏的设置文件路径在 C:\Users\用户名\AppData\Roaming\Kalypso Media\Port Royale 3 如果像我一样遇到全屏时设置窗口化黑屏卡死可以直接修改options.cfg （没试过全屏改高于1920分辨率的可行性，不过打算就直接窗口化玩好了，想全屏玩可以试试）options.cfg的部分设置选项翻译如下： FullScreenWidth-全屏时分辨率宽度 FullScreenHeight-全屏时分辨率高度 FullScreen-全屏，1为全屏，0为窗口化 Aspect-宽高比 VSync-垂直同步 WindowedWidth-窗口化时分辨率宽度 WindowedHeight-窗口化时分辨率高度 以上，希望对各位有帮助。 之前没接触过这款游戏，看起来挺有趣的，又正好赶上打折就入手了。等玩一段时间再来补对游戏的评价。

This game has everything you could wish for in a 17th-century ship management game: trading, treasure hunting, piracy, questing, and even simple city management.

While the gameplay is nice, similar to Port Royale 2, the devs have not learned; after a long battle to capture ships, decimated the sailors just fall short of being to actually capture the ship becasue there is no actual way to slow down.

i bought the game on a -70% sale right now for $4.49 and then i stood in the main menu for 2 hours just so i could purchase the ONLY weed emoticon from the points shop. i haven't played the game at all, i just left the game running while i was afk for 2 hours basically. Worth it.

没想到啊，进城镇建筑名称会消失的bug到现在都2026年了还没解决，服了

The game is fun to play, especially the pirate portion. However the trading portion is poor due to there not being able to earn enough money to complete the campain. it is too cheap, even on the easiest level.
