People say that games like The Last of Us 2, Hades, and DOOM Eternal deserve recognition, but the real winner for me is Poggers. Poggers is a true symphony of story, character, and gameplay. The inspiring music and breathtaking visuals truly blew me away the first time I played it, and I was helpless to its charms. I am proud to be one of the few people to have every achievement in this game, and I wear my one million point badge with pride.
Poggers is a 2D retro pixel Frogger ripoff that's been slapped together with the godawful GameMaker Studio video game construction kit from Yoyogames. Instead of a frog, you're controlling a 2D retro pixel rabbit, but that's the only real notable difference. GameMaker Studio is a very poor quality game construction kit, and unsurprisingly results in products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. Using a video game construction kit requires little to no talent or skill as a game developer. Very often, GameMaker Studio is used to make shovelware and lazy cash grabs. Like most GameMaker Studio construction kit "games", this features lazy 2D retro pixel "art", instead of professionally done, contemporary PC graphics. Controls and resolution are locked, which pushes this below acceptable standards for PC. Given you can play Frogger for free, it's impossible to recommend this. You can also get way more amusement from reading all the funny fake positive reviews for this shovelware... it is important to note most of the reviews for this game are insincere/fake.
Online Stalking and Harrassment
The developer has started stalking me, delivering personal attacks and is attempting to publicly cyberbully and intimidate me by posting hitpiece videos and articles. Why? Because I wrote an honest and frank assessment about an objectively bad and failed product. It's an objective failure rejected by gamers, confirmed by SteamDB figures for the failed game, and for the other reasons I supplied in my accurate review. Certainly, the hitpieces the stalker/developer here has linked up are false and misleading (for example, I've given positive reviews to 2D indie games in the past, but the "developer" here chooses to lie about that), but cyberbullies don't care about facts, they just want to intimidate and attack those for providing the truths the developer can't emotionally accept. This unhinged, unstable and harmful behavior from the developer is utterly unacceptable, and is a chilling attempt to silence the truth. Now, you can look at the objective facts of my review, and then have a look at how this reviewer is attacking and intimidating reviewers, and suddenly the overwhelming rejection of these crappy GameMaker Studio ripoffs makes perfect sense. I will not be intimidated or silenced by stalkers and bullies.

Nice.
I love Frogger. While working toward my Applied Computer Science Bachelor's Degree, I took a 2D Game Development class. My final project was a 2D RPG. However, my favorite weekly assignment was creating Frogger using Python and PyGame. I didn't believe my version of Frogger amounted to much but after seeing many Frogger clones on Steam and other sites -- it actually was comparatively good. I downloaded Poggers because I enjoy Zaxtor99's content and wanted to support him in a way that was mutually beneficial. While I typically only bring multiplayer games into our archive, his games all include integrated online leaderboards which is a stretch but close enough. Between that and the achievements, there are goals and a competitive element other than simply chasing a high score by yourself. Zax seems to have a great grasp of arcade games of the time, as well as what new features appeal to modern game, and managed to execute quite well on both. The core game itself is Frogger on the surface with quite amateurish graphics, UI, and title screen. All of these elements do fit a common theme. Consistency and coherence trumps disjointed realism any day for me. The gameplay is fairly spot on too. It takes a bit of time to get used to. It doesn't seem to have the abrupt "snap-to-a-grid-tile" feel of original Frogger, but it's definitely manageable here. It's actually quite challenging and doesn't waste your time with the easy levels of the typical Frogger clones. It starts at an intermediate level of difficulty and scales appropriately. This isn't Prison Ball or even Nerm the Worm, but it's quite close. Out of 4 purchases from Zaxtor99 I've received an A tier game and 3 B tier games, all of which I'll definitely keep installed and play more of in the future. I can't wait to see what is produced if he sticks with development for another 5 to 10 years. This is a fun, but flawed, recommend that's better than many other titles in the budget price range. Recommend!
Poggers is a rip-off of Froggers and a scam and a cash grab
great amazing game, don't recommend playing for 10 hours straight, but! Try it.
