Plunder Ball

It launched in November of 2023 by Moonshot Interactive Games with a premise that zombie pirates spawn and walk toward your stash of gold. All the pirate booty is located behind the pinball launching cannon that you control and its your job to blast the ghoulies down. While blasting objects and enemies around the map you'll gain score and gold. A game over is triggered once the zombies steal all of your gold. A win happens that enables you move on to the next stage after the timer ends OR you manage to blow up the pirate ship in the center of the map. Inbetween rounds you can use gold to buy different cannonballs. The three types of cannonball; Basic High Explosive (explodes after a few bounces) Mega (larger in size) Fire (should be obvious) Much like the power-ups the amount of enemies is also only three. Each enemy does have their own individual health, speed and attack damage. To keep it up with the threes I think this entire game only seems to have 3 pieces of soundtrack that play. Unfortunately to break the pattern I've gotta say there is only one singular map. While it's a fun idea at this point I cannot recommend this game because it offers very limited content and seems to be poorly optimized. I'm surprised I had to turn my graphics settings down in order to play this game without lag/slowdown. Perhaps in the future my recommendation will change if this receives patches that further optimization as well as extend content in the form of things such as new maps, power ups, game modes or interactivity within the environment. As it stands now the game doesn't even offer a singleplayer high score board, difficulty options, or even steam achievements for those cheese hunters. As an anecdote this games launch was considered complete. It is NOT an early access title and also has not received a single update post release. Granted its very small price point there is not much expectation... Plunder Ball very reminiscent of WildTangent games that came stock on computers of the early 2000's and while it does give me a bit of nostalgia its lack of features and gameplay keep me from coming back to it.

It's like a pirate tower defense game with a pinball-styled gameplay. Super fun and addictive! My kids even have fun playing. Who can say no to pirates and pinball.

Plunder Ball is a fun, polished game for what it is. Pinball style / tower defense game with a lot of charm. Looking forward to seeing some additional content for this game.

The game is fun enough. A tutorial would help as there is no real direction given, just shoot stuff? A sound setting option is desperately needed as the default sound it very loud. Also, a global leader board would really enhance the fun, competitive experience.

Good mind relaxing game. Just shoot and chill. Def worth a buck!
