Plunder! All Hands Ahoy

"Plunder! All Hands Ahoy" is a garbage "barely a game" trainwreck designed for people who don't want to play video games to play video games. Yes, this was designed for viewers of streamers, people simping so they can watch other people play video games. The developer never considered, however, that people watch streamers because they obviously don't want to play video games themselves. And that the streamer would have to be playing this game instead of the games they actually wanted to watch him playing. I wonder why this was a catastrophic failure? We may never know. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $5 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
