this isnt a game its all cutscenes but you make desicions

As a big fan of the Planet of the Apes reboot franchise, an interactive film spin-off seemed like a slam dunk idea. Unfortunately, the execution is extremely flawed. While the visuals are pretty good (given the game is just a sequence of pre-rendered cinematics done in UE4), the story falls on its face and doesn't nearly reach the same high points as its theatrical alternatives. The game also fails in its few sparsely placed "decisions". The interactions themselves hardly qualify as decisions, as usually all it affects is the next line of dialogue a character says, before quickly jumping back on the track of the unchanging linear narrative. This is especially disappointing when the game presents a meaningful decision that could potentially alter the story, only for another character to say, "no, we should do this" and a push-over main character drops their ambitions to go with the flow. This is the experience of Last Frontier from beginning to end and it is as annoying as it is deceptive. The game feels like it treats its target audience like they're morons incapable of making meaningful choices and coming to their own conclusions, which is basically the exact opposite stance that the films evoke.

В обсуждениях нашел как решить проблему: “При попытке запустить игру Unreal Engine вылетает со следующим сообщением об ошибке: "Произошел сбой нереального процесса: UE4-Apes" Чтобы обойти это, мне пришлось установить совместимость с Windows7, после чего игра успешно запустилась. Чтобы установить совместимость, выполните следующие действия: 1) Щелкните правой кнопкой мыши на игре в вашей библиотеке steam 2) Наведите курсор на Управление 3) Нажмите на кнопку Просмотреть локальные файлы 5) Щелкните правой кнопкой мыши на Apes и выберите пункт Свойства 6) Перейдите на вкладку Совместимость 7) В разделе Режим совместимости нажмите "Запустить эту программу в режиме совместимости для:" и выберите Windows 7 8) Затем примените изменения, нажав кнопку ОК” Интересный интерактивный фильм, в котором нужно делать только выбор нажимая на три клавиши и всё, в остальное время просто наблюдаем. Любителям фильмов планеты обезьян рекомендую

A good movie where the director occasionally asks you to rewrite the script on the fly. Great fun. Basically a Telltale game with better graphics, wilder outcomes, and none of the puzzle/time-wasting filler.
