Planet Explorers is an open world sandbox adventure RPG game set on a distant planet. The game uses a new OpenCL calculated voxel system to allow players to change the terrain in any way, create new objects such as weapons, vehicles, objects, and do it anywhere.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

This game was never really finished. It had an interesting physics-based gear, vehicle, and object editor which might have amounted to something unique if it had received a bit more attention to make the controls stable and well explained. It had a potentially interesting story which if it had ever actually been finished and the various story-related sites had ever been fully populated, but they weren't. It had a potentially interesting colony system, which had their building tools been refined might have been quite fun. Sadly, it was abandoned well before any of that happened, hastily "finished" along one very unclear linear story line, and then promptly lost its community as well (which might have been able to contribute an amazingly diverse amount of customization had the building tools been refined further). So, no, there's nothing to recommend here but ideas. It's a frustratingly paced, frustratingly slow, frustratingly incomplete game which had dated graphics and odd physics from launch.
this game came out way back, in early access and never actually finished (think osiris:new dawn. devs marked it as finished but it was never "actually" finished). Its okay but full of jank. You can build design ect but its mechanics is terrible compared to other games. Not worth the the money, This is more like of a terrible verson of kenshi (which is a great game) with worse combat and build mechanics. Do not recommend.
Runs nicely, a big world that remineds me of World of Warcraft just without the character creation. There is no Mage, Warrior etc just one type of character. I don't have issues with the game I like it but this is a large game and I was looking for a WoW replacement.
I understand the devs lost their source code with some server issue, but what kind of developers are so incompetent that their are no backups of their data? Seriously.
I still think back to this from time to time. It was so much fun, but just unfinished. Not just "lots of potential" but actually "most of the game is already there". Base/vehicle building, exploration, questing - all felt really at the start, and are really unique and enjoyable. It just gets progressively less polished and slower-paced until you realize they probably didn't make the rest of the story.
Game appears to be around 10 years old and had some Big visions for the game. Creative and interesting mechanics. Some people might not like the controls, but it didn't bother me any. The game is fresh, engaging, interesting and bold. I think there are games that copied the core ideas from this game as it looks very original and offers a lot of game play to do and see. I recommend.
