Pixelorama

Great simple and easy to use pixel art program. Plenty of functionality out of the box, but not so complicated its impossible to pick up and use immediately.

I am really loving this software!!! I usually use the dot brush in firealpaca to draw, but gave this a try because i'm working on a pixel game with a friend. I honestly have no cons with this program so far. It was really easy to pick up with my experience in graphic programs) and now that I have explored all the menus and hotkeys (took about 7 hours) I am having a-lot of fun. The animation part of this program is so simple to use, and the UI is balanced nicely for it, and also just using it to make sprites and tile-sheets goes so smoothly. I was using pixelorama on itch.io but decided to purchase it on steam because I enjoyed it so much. 10/10 for me!

I am using this to create assets for my tiny hobby game, has been great software so far (very easy to use!) and I would highly recommend it! :) For comparison, I'd been using Affinity Photo previously and just building the sprite sheets manually. Having the easy animation features in Pixelorama has been a sanity-saver! (I've never used Aseprite, so I'm not sure how it compares.) Sidenote: I have high hours in this because I tend to leave it open whilst working on other things. But I do use it more or less daily in my hobby projects (I hadn't quite grasped that games need so. many. assets. gleeep.)

I bought this just to support the people that made the software. This is a really cheap and easy to use software to make really professional pixel art. So happy to see software like this being made :)

you've made pixel art feel like home, to pixelorama team, you´ve outdone most open source pixel art tools, better the paid ones (personal opinion) as semone you introduced to this world, i'm grateful for your work. if i coud donate twice, i would, my only request: stay open source, keep improving and maybe.... add an android version (pls) so i can doodle anywhere! you've earned a fan for life. -Att: A fan who roots for you P.S.: Thanks for making the Android version, guys. Maybe now, for visual comfort, it would be nice to have... a preview section? Like in any drawing program. It's strange that to this day the images of the drawings I've made before still don't show up. I know it's not a big deal, but I don't know, it gives it a unique quality-of-life touch.

I have been learning pixel art off and on over the past year and Pixelorama has been a very fun tool to use! It has some really nice Preference settings that I have used to customize my work screen and importing color palettes is very easy. I haven't gotten to try the animation tools yet but as I progress with my learning I am very excited to use those as well. I highly recommend this tool for anyone looking to learn pixel art!
