Simple, cute, short, fun and colorful!
I was searching free visual novel games during Visual Novel Fest this August 8 of 2023 and found Pixel Happy Game Girls. What caught my attention was the cover art of the game which I thought looked interesting and cool and so I read the synopsis of the game and thought it sounds intriguing, and so I played it and finished it till the end! While playing through PHGG, it really reminded me of animes that have a SoL genre (Slice of Life) and "Cute Girls doing Cute things" kind of feel. It honestly feels great and wholesome seeing a team of passionate devs work together to create their game and sell it to the public eye to see and play whilst having problems with budgeting and game dev stuff. As a loving and caring game dev myself with a passionate team, I can relate to the story and know where they are getting at and where it was heading; It certainly is a fun and great short story where game developers can relate too such as I and many more.
My thoughts on Pixel Happy Game Girls~ <3
PHGG is a cute and wonderful short kinetic visual novel with SoL aspects in the writing. It certainly has great art and has amazing CGs to back it up. Like, oh my God, TEAM KAZUMI ALL THE WAY! The character sprites are really cute and decent at best; I really love Kazumi's character sprite hehe. I kinda wished it tackled more into problems of game developing more than having a fun and cute story but nonetheless, I wasn't disappointed one bit, and had fun playing the game and had me smiling at certain points through out! The voice acting were alright as it really didn't need one in my opinion. Having to imagine the voices of the characters just by looking at the character's looks and by judging their personality, the reader can imagine what type of voices they have which in my opinion, one of the greatest aspects of having no voices in visual novels. Though, again; it's great to have that in the game as we, game devs try different things to spice up our game and try to not make it look bland. 7/10! There's nothing more that needs to be said about PHGG. I sure did enjoy this short game, and I would love to see more of your guys content in the future! I want to see passionate game devs strive to have their name and game on the market and make it memorable for a lot of people and gamers alike. Cheers to Pixel Happy Project! Wish to see you guys improve more and develop more games. Love from Me~ <3

Big Gurr. Heavy Gurr
very short game. not by any means a masterpiece, but thats why i like it. its a good filler with nice art/soundtrack and a somewhat funny story you can just sit back and have fun with. dont come in expecting the next katawa shoujo or steins gate.

This is similar to my first game. I didn't have pictures though. I really like the art style, its not too flashy and wholesome for an anime. I wanna play Robotopia. The skip button made me chuckle.
I love this game so much<3
"Pixel Happy Game Girls" — крутая, уютная игра с пиксельным стилем и простыми, но щедрыми механиками. Атмосфера душевна, персонажи милые, но в игре отсутствует глубина или сложность. Рекомендуется для тех, кто любит небольшие, расслабляющие моменты. Красиво, но немного «всё-таки»...
