This is a good game to start with, but not designed well enough to keep people interested long-term. First, whenever my town gets attacked, I lose many of my best weapons. Whenever I attacked any town, all I ever get is resources of wood, iron, and gold, never any of their weapons. This game is tailored to the Veterans of the game get rewarded and the newbies of the game get the short end of the stick due to its lack of equality for all players. Fighting sea monsters is a joke for they usually give only one or 2 types of resources and very little else. It takes time to find a board that has the sea monsters that you want to fight. This would be better if you got resources idly while you were not playing but that doesn't happen either. Veterans always have the best weapons, so why does the game need to give them mine? It would be better if I attacked a town that I got some of their weapons. There is nothing to like about a game that favors Veterans of this game over newbies or makes it equal for all who play.

It's an easy, free and funny game and moreover there are alliances that makes funnier the fights
Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile app!
Pirates of Everseas is one of thousands of nasty mobile apps infesting the "free" section of Steam, but it's not really free. There's only a superficial "game" here. This garbage mobile app is Farmville with a pirate theme and toxic mobile app monetisation. So really, the mobile app "game" is just a veneer, a thin skin wrapped around a nasty, predatory mobile app cash shop. Thus, the true purpose of this mobile app is to get you to hand your credit card details to the greedy mobile devs so you can buy stuff in the nasty cash shop... it shouldn't be considered a real game because it's a mobile app cash harvester, and has no place in your game library. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is a mobile app. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it.
Warning: Review Manipulation! This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear at almost exactly the same time, very shortly after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Due to the 2024 FTC ruling (16 CFR Part 465), these fake reviews are a violation of US Federal Law.
Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
