12 hr game, very fun, beautiful art. Good price!
I just finished streaming this game and both me and my audience adored it! I was so invested in the mystery! My favourite part though was the designs of the creatures, each of them all so unique and I was always pleastenly suprised by each new phase. I 100% recommended this game!
I really love this game! For me at least, it was very easy with understandable mechanics and gameplay. I love the characters and the different settings, along with the music. The artstyle is really cool and the plot is very interesting. It's a very short game, but it's a lot of fun. I'd definitely recommend, great value for the price and highly enjoyable!
While visually appealing, I feel that this game is meant more for the teen age group than myself. It's not bad, just not that great.
This is a very short but very well done turn based RPG. The music, story and art style are all very fun, and combine to really make the game stand out from the plethora of RPGs that flood Steam every month. I really love the character designs across the board (except Aka) and would love to see more from this universe, even if it is some other game type. It took me a little over four hours to get both endings and 97% of the trophies (one never even came up for me, but the game is short enough that I can try and find it in a second playthrough) and there are a lot of missable ones, but only if you rush through. I like to scour my RPGs for every possible nook and cranny and got all of these easily (Perhaps I'll do a guide on it?) . If you're looking for a really lengthy RPG with a lot of filler and grinding, this is not your game. This is about story first and foremost and in many ways reminds me of how I felt about Nippon ichi's Rhapsody when it first came out in the late 1990s. It was a 10 hour RPG and a lot of people had culture shock from the length, despite how well crafted it was. I think Hex Mortis will be in a similar situation. I absolutely recommend it, but go in knowing that this is much faster paced than the vast majority of turn based RPGs.
A neat little turn-based RPG with a unique style. Everything from the character designs, to the music, to the color palette gives the game this dreamlike, almost surreal energy. It's a bleak and frightful world, but also an intriguing one. The story of tracking down the girl in the fox mask is definitely drawing me in. The combat is simple, but effective. You've got a suite of skills that use mana, which regenerates a little bit each turn. Item utilization is critical, but thankfully the game is very generous with item pickups, and they aren't too expensive to buy either. It's also neat how you can see your new skills lined up, even before you have the mana to cast them. Sort of lets you know what to look forward to. Overall, I dig it. A worthwhile purchase for turn-based RPG fans.
This game has become my new hyperfixation. Beautiful art, incredible music, and a captivating story with loads of secrets and easter eggs to be found. I've already played and completed 3 different save files, none of which I made the same choices. An incredible piece of work and I'm seriously looking forward to what the developers have in store for the future!!
An RPG with a colorful yet dark aesthetic and some distinctly Shin Megami Tensei vibes! Make friends, solve supernatural mysteries, and save the town from an impending apocalypse along the way! Feels a bit short at 5 hours but it's all juicy stuff; I think the game could have benefited from more team-building scenes and also sidequests not necessarily related to the main one, but there's a complete story here with a partially open-ended conclusion and that's preferable to an over-bloated plot beast for sure!
Ive run through the entire game and I loved every second of it, great visuals, music and storytelling. 10/10 !!
