Really great game, lots of fun for anyone who enjoys some pinball whether it be casual or competitive. The game has good mechanics (given it being a pinball game there's not many mechanics needed but it's simple and easy to get the hang of it), the game also allows players to choose between perspective gameplay (not tracking the ball) and follow gameplay (tracking the ball) to allow for everyone's personal preference. The pinball table is also very nice, it uses a variety of different themes moulded into one, and includes table music, this pinball game doesn't have in-game purchases nor does it require you to sign up to anything to gain access to more tables like many other pinball games do, you simply buy the game and play the table it has, would love to see a new table in future updates, preferably not as DLC though. The game also has really good graphics, which isn't something that matters heaps with pinball games but it's definitely a huge plus. I've really enjoyed playing this game since I bought it, it's super relaxing for me and overall I think Pinball Neon is a great game. Although I do wish the achievements weren't all hidden, not that it really matters, just personal preference.
This one is interesting. The theme is all over the place. There's an Arabian princess panel on the left, a rocket ship, Christmas paraphernalia scattered all about. a fireworks feature. Space stuff. A dragon, of course. And I don't think the music matches any of it. But it's a competent table that cribs a few 'features' from a corporate pinball suite while making them less annoying, so, good there. The thing I like least is the camera. You have a near gutter's eye view of the playfield except when you're in the bumper pool, which is directly overhead. This is labeled as the 'perspective' mode, which I guess means you must be in the role of Warwick Davis as your player character. Or that you play pinball like you're lining up a pool shot, but... always. There's another mode, called Follow, but that just sounds like a headache. I don't run around the table keeping a constant distance between my eye and the ball, just so it knows who's boss. No, I'm more of a loomer... SO I CAN SEE THE WHOLE TABLE ALL AT ONCE. But the physics are tight, flippers responsive, and guttering is a matter of your fault, not bad lane design. It's not a Stern table. Did I type that out loud? Oops.
Pinball Neon is fast paced colorful pinball. Make the fireworks go off. Visit the tree house, and attempt to acquire the secret achievement. Steam Deck support according to developer updates. Full controller support. https://steamcommunity.com/groups/indieretrogamers
Hey Ya know what, this is a really fun Pinball Game. Not an exact simulator. The Ball and action is faster, but it needs to be to enjoy this table. I mean seriously your adrenaline starts to hit while playing Pinball Neon. The theme and graphics and sounds are awesome. Colorful, animated, exciting. Great and Many Targets. So if you go in it knowing its a game an not a simulator (pretty close to one though) I think you will like it. Really Good stuff Programmers, really fun and imaginative.
