Really good game! I usually feel a sense of tension in me when I play this game. I really like the similarity to Exit 8! Although it is good, don't play it for a long time because there is a big chance for you to get bored. Taking all these in to account, I'd rate this game 4 starts out of 5

Best game if you like exit 8 but you want to play it for free!
(It does have "mild" jumpscares, "mannequin horror" and killer chases btw. 31 anomalies too.)
Ryan George Style Pitch Meeting:
The setting is a snow-draped arctic ice shelf jutting directly into an endless ocean of clear blue water. Cold polar air whips across giant, pristine glaciers, while surrounding icebergs slowly drift past a frozen boardroom table carved completely out of solid ice. Two men sit in carved ice chairs—one wearing glasses and an incredibly thick parka, the other wearing the exact same parka without glasses. In the background, a massive crowd of hyperactive arctic birds waddles around in tight tactical formations, saluting randomly. Floating in the clear frigid air, a massive clockwork mechanism turns with a low, ominous metallic hum, casting long shadows across the polished frost as tiny ice sculptures of hotel hallways periodically assemble and shatter themselves on the desk. Publisher: So, you have a walking down a hallway looking for birds simulator for me? Game Designer: Yes, my leader, I do! It is called PEXIT 8, and it is a free-to-play parody game where you explore an endless hotel corridor! Publisher: Oh, walking down endless corridors! People love being in hallways! Game Designer: Absolutely! So the core loop is simple: you walk down this hotel hallway, and you have to carefully inspect every single detail to see if there is a penguin anomaly. Publisher: An anomaly? Game Designer: Yes! If you spot something weird with a penguin—like a giant penguin, a plushie moving around, or hidden birds—you press a big button that says "YES PEN"! You can even try hugging the normal-sized penguins in the hall, but they will completely ignore you and keep waddling. Publisher: Oooooh, cold unfeeling birds that refuse affection are tight! Game Designer: And if the hallway looks completely normal? Then you press the button that says "NO PEN"! Publisher: Wow wow wow. Wow. So it’s a high-stakes tactical decision between yes birds and no birds? Game Designer: Exactly! And if you guess correctly 8 times in a row, you escape the hallway! Publisher: That sounds super easy! Game Designer: Super easy, barely an inconvenience! Except some of the anomalies are wild! Like right off the bat, your very first anomaly could literally be a penguin executing a full Jamiroquai Virtual Insanity floor-glide down the corridor in a giant top hat! Publisher: A 90s funk music video floor-slide in a hotel hallway? Game Designer: Exactly! You're just walking along and suddenly it's full Jay Kay couch-gliding energy! Publisher: Funk-driven penguin floor-slides are tight! Game Designer: Yeah, but then other times you’ll be staring at a blank wall or a poster that is shifted two inches to the left, totally second-guessing your own memory! Publisher: Oh, really? Game Designer: Yeah, and sometimes you'll see something weird, get super confident, hit "YES PEN", and it turns out it was just normal decor all along! Publisher: Whoops! Game Designer: Whoopsie! (In the background, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private slide past on their bellies in a sharp military diamond formation). Skipper: Kowalski, status report! Are these hotel corridors secure from avian interference? Kowalski: Skipper, according to my clipboard, the probability of an unexpected penguin anomaly in this sector is currently ninety-two percent! Rico: (Gargles wildly and regurgitates a massive red plastic "YES PEN" button directly onto the ice table). Private: Oh dear, do you think the giant plushie penguin is friendly, Skipper? Skipper: Just smile and wave, boys. Smile and wave. Stand fast, men! That yellow-suited civilian is attempting a high-frequency musical breach! (Pikotaro suddenly appears next to the table wearing a bright yellow leopard-print suit over his heavy thermal jacket, dramatically holding invisible stationery). Pikotaro: I have a pen! I have an apple! Uh! Apple-pen! Publisher: Wait, why is there a man in a leopard-print suit singing about pens? Game Designer: Because we need "PEN" energy for the "YES PEN" button! Pikotaro: I have a pen! I have a penguin! Uh! PEXIT-PEN! I have a hotel! I have a penguin! Uh! Hotel-penguin-pen! Publisher: A very musical stationery combination! Game Designer: Fair enough! So anyway, what happens if you make a wrong choice or get caught by something weird? Publisher: Well, what does happen? Game Designer: Sometimes you get chased by a giant penguin that crushes you under its massive foot if you try to hug it or let it catch you! Publisher: Oh my god. You get squished by a giant bird foot? Game Designer: Hey, shut up! It’s hilarious! You’re sprinting down a hallway for your life away from a massive killer bird! Publisher: Oooooh, giant crushing penguin feet are tight! Game Designer: What? Publisher: What? (Suddenly, Doakes bursts out from behind a nearby snowbank, glaring intensely through the freezing mist). Doakes: Surprise, choice-maker! I'm watching you press those buttons! I don't care if it's a plushie or a real bird, if it moves without a permit, I'm taking it down! Publisher: Whoa, where did he come from? Doakes: I don't care about your hotel loops! If I see one suspicious anomaly, you're done! Doakes: And don't think I didn't see you eyeing that top hat, penguin! That's a code violation! Doakes: I've got my eyes on you, button-presser! One wrong 'YES PEN' and you're answering to me in a dark interrogation room! (A massive penguin jumpscare happens, causing the publisher to scream and jump). Doakes: That's it! Surrender that jump, you're coming with me! Game Designer: He seems very intensely invested in our quality assurance! Publisher: Fair enough! So anyway, as you make your way through the loop, the whole thing feels like a harmless, funny 15-minute joke. But then, right at the end, the entire aesthetic drops! Publisher: It drops? Game Designer: Yeah! Suddenly, a massive clockwork mechanism appears with glowing red eyes! (Right on cue, a giant clockwork penguin rises out of the freezing ocean behind them, its eyes glowing crimson as ominous sound effects echo across the ice shelf). Game Designer: And then it drops cryptic villain dialogue about an entity named "Luna" before the screen cuts completely to black! Publisher: ...Why is there a giant ominous mechanical clockwork bird talking about Luna in a cute meme game about pressing buttons for birds? Game Designer: Because! It’s a teaser that ties directly into the developer’s broader universe from their other series! Publisher: Is any of that explained inside this game? Game Designer: Absolutely not! You just get sudden dark mechanical lore dropped on your head and then it slams the curtain shut! Publisher: Very considerate! (Pingu waddles up to the table, looks at the floating clockwork penguin, and aggressively slaps a fish onto the ice). Pingu: NOOT NOOT! Doakes: Don't you 'NOOT NOOT' me, bird! I know what you're hiding! Pingu: (Stares directly at Doakes) NOOT NOOT! (Slaps another fish). Publisher: A very vocal penguin! Game Designer: The best! And once you beat the main sequence, you unlock a Continue Mode where you can go back into the hallway with an anomaly counter to hunt down every single bird variation you missed for the leaderboard! Pikotaro: (Dancing next to the table) I have a pen! I have a penguin! Uh! PEXIT-PEN! Skipper: Kowalski! Neutralize that yellow suit with extreme prejudice! Kowalski: On it, boss! (Fires a suction-cup dart at Pikotaro's pen). Skipper: High-value target down! Resume bird inspection protocols! Publisher: A very disciplined military maneuver! Publisher: Well, okay then! That works! So overall, it’s just a super fun, lighthearted, silly spin-off that people are having an absolute blast with? Game Designer: Exactly! It’s short, totally unbothered by taking itself too seriously, and features high-tier bird gameplay! Publisher: Wow wow wow. Wow!
